Time Change

Just coming off a game of Rising Sun, it would be nice if you could switch from day to night in the middle of a scenario, so all games wouldn't have to be exclusively day or night. I'd also say Dawn and Dusk, but since Day and Night are already in the game that might be asking too much.

Right. But wars which are decided primarily or solely by such factors do not make suitable subjects for TOAW. The boardgame "Superpower" was pretty interesting for covering ...

RE: TOAW vs Rising Sun

Rising Sun has better music! Seriously, much as I love them both, TOAW is better, because of its replacement system, logistics, and other realistic aspects of warfare that most games don't mod.

Google Maps

I heard there was a program that helps convert Google Maps to TOAW files by giving them a hex overlay. Is this true? Any other good programs for map making?

RE: What new scenarios would you like to see?

Thanks Siberian HEAT. I'm just skimming it but Golden Delicious' comments look pretty reasonable. (The author said he just wanted a 'beer and pretzels' scenario) Anyone know a good site that would have OOB and initial deployments?

<r> First off, major kudos to Matrix for resurrecting these games. OpArt of War and Rising Sun are still on my computer (I keep an old pre-XP around just for "Rising Sun") If I had to give a wish list (And RS is the only one I've played), it would be:<br/>

RE: What new scenarios would you like to see?

<r> Without trying to start a back-and-forth: TOAW already includes both the Marine offensive into Kuwait and Operation Desert Storm, which as battles were as one sided as Hervé Villechaize vs. Mike Tyson. This at least lets the Iraqis keep the initiative and strike while they're still strong. Yes ...
