Appreciation

<t> Vic and Davide, what you've done with this is incredible. I bought and thoroughly enjoyed every DC so far but there's something truly special going on here, the potential for Market Garden, Normandy, Sicily, Crete, North Africa, Stalingrad etc is huge.<br/> <br/> It's pretty clear that the edito...

RE: Is it possible to play individual nations as well?

Yes, before you start a new game or load a saved game in the options menu there is a selection box where you can toggle individual nations between AI or human control. It's a great feature.

RE: Bigger World Map, please

<t> Yes, I think that's right, Big Al made the Brute Force mod which had a European map and a Pacific one. It was really well done actually and he he was brought on board for Assault on Communism and Assault on Democracy, I think particularly to work on scenario AI? I've just checked the manual cred...

Brilliant, WW2 global was what I was hoping for at this stage.

Is the map at the same scale as War in Europe?

<t> Both the great war and global would be welcome in my book. I don't mind which way round particularly (perhaps a very slight bias towards global), I just hope we get them both at some point.<br/> <br/> A Great War version wouldn't need too much map work done (global on the current scale is a mass...

RE: Introducing a Podcast from AWNT - Skirmish Line

<t> This is great, like you I love podcasts and given how much work I have to do around our property they keep me sane and make the time pass quicker. I'm a fan of three moves ahead but they also cover a lot of dross games that I'm not interested in so it would be really nice to see this develop, go...

RE: How many Matrix/Slitherine Games do you own?

37 from here plus a couple I bought through Steam. There are some I shouldn't have bought because I don't play them but this is ok because it's balanced out by the others where I have played countless hours and got more than good value from. Keep them coming!

RE: World in Flames

<t> Every time it's on sale I am so tempted. No AI, no buy - I have to discipline myself to that but I believe it's crucial and I absolutely hate the "AI is always poor so don't waste time on it" attitude (not just for this game btw). If I thought the game would be certain of having AI added at some...

I'm hoping for global, but would be happy to see WW1 too because it was so well done with the previous engine. Like Fintilgin says, Pacific standalone would need a naval mechanics review, but would be a nice addition.

RE: This game has ruined..

Late reply, but I'm pretty cut up DC:B is going to be the first and last in the series, I had hoped it would only be the start. I have to agree, Wodin, other Operational games just don't do it for me anymore. Crying shame.
