Flags of our Great Great Great Great Great Grandfathers

<t> Is it just me or are there no flags representing Illinois, Maine, Indiana and a host of other States in the "Choose a Flag" option, yet Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Connecticut are represented? Any reason for this? It's the little details that make this game and so I would like my Brigades to fly ...

What about a weekly screenshot?

Gil/ Eric,

Any chance of implementing a "weekly screenshot" up until release? This is a great way to slowly release game concepts and facilitates great discussion and further interest.

I'm not sure what you mean by "regimental detail," but you'll be glad to know that there will be 100+ special units based on historical brigades, regiments and companies -- some chosen for their fighting reputations, others for ...

RE: Concerns & Questions

<t> I was very interested to read that Brigades are raised from specific locations, however I was wondering whether this would allow for them to have some additional level of regimental detail added. I believe this to be necessary since that added level of detail is why people love many Matrix ...

Military Unit Size

This game could become the definitive ACW strategy game. It looks like it has many innovative concepts that I have not seen before. How customisable will it be? Will the game contain regimental sized units as the smallest unit and will they be able to be renamed?

RE: Any new news on the upcoming civil war game???

<t> I'm awaiting this one with interest. Hope it goes down to regiment level and can be played across the whole of the continental United States. Although I wouldn't expect to see Confederates in still want to have the option of conducting a battle in Colorado as happened historically. <br/>

RE: Which is the best?

<t> Whilst both games are excellent and you will undoubtedly get strong support for either, depending on whether you ask this question on the Matrix site (as you have) or on the Paradox website to effectively answer this question yourself you need to consider what you want out of your purchase. I ...

<t> Thanks for your responses. <br/>

Reading the above posts highlights one of the things that I have known for some time. People like grand strategy simulations or wargames for many different reasons. For me, what I love is getting immersed in the historic detail. The more detail within the ...

What's better HOI2 or GGWAW?

Just curious - having purchased CoG, WITP, SPWAW, EUI & II, CK, Victoria I love games that have a huge amount of detail. Since HOI2 Doomsday will be released soon I was wondering whether anyone had any opinions on the merits of GGWAW vs HOI2 before I purchase.

What next for ACW design?

<t> Having spent the last six months developing design notes for a grand strategic simulation of the ACW incorporating political, economic, military, technological and social aspects of American society during the period 1860-1867, I have reached a point when I must ask what next?<br/>
