I am loathe to reconsider design decisions that have been rendered into code. There are always new possibilities oozing out of the woodwork. This is especially true of computer generated graphics.<br/>

RE: Unit Depictions on Screen

Very nice, very nice indeed!

Have you considered talking to the people working on the graphics for War in the Pacific? I know they have hundreds and hundreds of little images of planes and ships that may be of some use if they allow you to use them.

I apologize in advance here, but I am an ex-English major and had to comment. It is "bated breath", which means to breathe shallowly in anticipation. I always picture this as lying hidden in the bushes as an enemy patrol goes by a couple of feet away.

RE: Maps for MWIF

Why are graphics so important with a game like WiF? To me, a decent, full and easy to use interface and good game mechanics are far more important.

DOD3 is great is you don't push it too far. I really like the way it can create a completely different game however, if you drift too far from the historic (by using the option that allows major powers to change ...

<t> How is net play handled? I assume it's as Chris envisaged with everybody online at the same time. If so, then something similar to the virtual whiteboard programs would be handy. A virtual whiteboard that only your team mates could see and that you could pin a section of the map to then draw on ...

We play with most add-ons except Leaders (other than the units) and Convoy (again, other than the units). We also use the units from Patton and America and have played a couple of AiF games (mostly while play testing yet again). We also played an awful lot of DoD while we were play ...

I'm not sure I've actually ever played a game that used victory cities and I played nearly continuously for 15 years. As funny_bunnyy says, just looking at the board usually tells you who won.

<t> Wow! It's amazing to see that development is well and truly underway on this project. I was a part of the early testing way back when Chris Marinacci was working on it. Back then I played WiF about 3 times a week and, seeing as I live in Canberra, often played with Harry himself - which meant I ...
