RE: How good is this game ?

<t> If you like WITPAE, you will probably like WITE, you can dig as deep into your forces as you wish, down to squad level. At the same time, unlike WITPAE, you can play purely at the divisional level and let the AI handle a lot of the stuff.<br/>
<br/>
I have both WITP/WITPAE, but never went more ...

RE: OT: In the begining..

<t> I don't think lack of specialized landing crafts was as major an issue as everyone seems to think, after all the Japanese conquered a big chunk of the Pacific in 41-42 with only basic landing barges.<br/>
<br/>
The bigger issue was the fact that you needed air and naval superiority for the ...

admin point level?

This is probably a silly question, but is there a screen which shows the current level of Admin points? I have the checked the manual and the various game info screens, but can't seem to find it.

RE: Debunking the Glantz myth

<t> You can't use Beevor to criticize Glantz, their books are aimed at totally different publics. Beevor is a general historian who writes for the general public. I had read his book on "Stalingrad", it is aimed at readers who do not know the story and basically just retells the same story that has ...

<t> just wanted to make some comments on late winter based on personal experience. I live in Montreal, Canada which has a similar climate to Russia.<br/>

RE: Hitler's Generals & Admirals......

<r> I would'nt say evil, people are motivated by personal interest. Germany was one of the most educated, cultured nation in 1932. Certainly anti-semitism was rampant in Europe and North-America in the 30s. But going from resentment towards Jews to thinking it's fine to gas millions of men, women ...

RE: New Public Beta Available for WitE v1.05.18

Do we need to instal 1.04.39 and/or 1.04.40 before 1.05.18? I noticed 1.05.18 is only slightly bigger than 1.04.40

p.s. - thanks for all the hard work.
