RE: Strategy for CSA in the east

<t> When units get depleted I move them into the forts and use those garrison troops in their sted. They are inexperienced, but soon gain the experience. You will notice that Richmond has almost 18,000 men in garrison. Other major cities with forts have 9,000. <br/>

Otherwise, you can move ...

RE: Patch feedback

I like the WTF adjustments based on reinforcements. It has made the game more realistic for me.

RE: Was the south right?

<r> I always wonder how long slavery would have lasted if the war had not been fought. Before the outbreak of hostilities, Lincoln was promising the South slavery would be left alone if they remained with the Union. <br/>

RE: Was the south right?

<t> A paraphrased quote from Sherman...and one of the maxims on FOF.... if the Confedracy would have won, the continent's fate would be that of Mexico, eternal war. Lincoln first and foremost fought to preserve the Union. Look at some of his speeches at the time, and the constant termoil in Europe ...

RE: Was the south right?

<t> Well, if you asked the Yankee soldiers from the Union Slave states of Kentucky, Maryland, or Missouri if they were fighting fighting to free slaves, what do you think they would say???<br/>

Many people forget that in fact slavery was still going on, albeit not as much, in the Union ...

What does DetailedCombat_DefenderMLBonus do??

<t> I'd like to make the detailed combat more even. I can't seem to do it very well. I've tried adjusting the ACWPlayers base moral to CSA 1 and USA 9, but this doesn't help much. Can someone tell me how the bottom 3 work, and which way to move the numbers? <br/>

RE: Detailed battles

It is hard sometimes to see if you have entrenched correctly or not. To handle this, when it is a cavalry or other unit's turn that is far enough away from the area that there are no blue lines, go back to see the terrain.

How to mod Battlefield Moral

I usually play the South, and I'd like to make it so the North and South are close morale- wise in battles. I'd prefer them fight until I beat them up a little more. I'd also like to mod the North not loosing as many points when a city is taken or battle lost.

Changing sides mid-game???

<t> Is there any way to change sides midway through the game??? I'm good with manipulating minor files. <br/>
<br/>
I'd love to get out of some of the fixes I put the North into. For instance, when I start winning big as the South, the North still has maybe 100,000-150,000 men in garrison. I'd ...

I know it's late, maybe next time

<r> I was just playing a game in which I was the North fighting a defensive battle in Chattanooga, South was attacking. As is my standard procedure when being attacked, I dig in and wait. An even match, my division 15,000 to the South's 16,000. I found a sweet spot between 2 mountains, leaving no ...

RE: Ideas for handling "a Swarm of Conferderates"?

Pull some of your Garrison Troops out of the forts and into the Army. You have about 20,000 in Troops there. Keep 1 brigade in the 2 forts around Washington and 1 in Washington.
