RE: Another expansion?

Expansions could be created by anyone with a good knowledge of the editing tools and time. No coding needed. (ie sub'd out)

RE: Panzerfaust

I read where the Panzerfaust 100 did not enter into production until November 1944, yet the stats on the Panzerfaust in the game seem to represent the 100 instead of the 60.

Panzerfaust

<t> The ESTAB has the range on the Panzerfaust as min 10, eff 100 and max 100.<br/> If I remember right, the Panzerfaust came in 3 models 40, 60, and 100. <br/> Wasn't the usual engagement range around 50 even for the 100? I thought I remember reading that the weapon was very innacurate past 50m.<br...

RE: Terrain and lorried/carrier infantry question

A comprehensive solution that would allow for tank-riders, transport pools, and mounting/dismounting would be a great enhancement to the game.

Maybe I misunderstood what Dave said when he said "component units".

RE: Terrain and lorried/carrier infantry question

Not only the player, but what about the AI? I forsee truck components running all about the battlefield and maybe even leading attacks! :)
Sorry Dave, couldn't resist!

RE: Terrain and lorried/carrier infantry question

<t> I abstract this by modifying the map and giving motorized units the ability to enter woods with a very low movement factor. 5% works for me. I toyed with the idea of adding woods and dense woods. They only difference being motorized wouldn't be able to move thru the dense woods.<br/> <br/> First...

RE: routing towards me

<t> Actually, I was thinking a unit may actually regain some strength and equipment, depending on the length of time it was out for reorganization. <br/> I'm assuming that some of the casualties a unit suffers are minor or represent MIA that turn up later. <br/> <br/> But yeah, I agree that a rout w...

RE: routing towards me

<t> Dave,<br/> <br/> Did you consider just having the unit disperse or evaporate and have it reappear at a base? From what I have read, routed units tend to end up clustered near supply bases and rear HQ's anyways.<br/> That would be preferable to routed units getting hammered till they surrender. <...

RE: Small Estab error?

I wasn't worried at all. I changed it, but figured I would point it out as there may have been others interested.

This is the forum for that, correct? Or should minor Estab errors be sent via email to someone?

M26 Pershing

Has anyone added the M26 to the Estab? If so, could you post a picture showing the game specs? Thanks!

RE: Small Estab error?

I say I don't believe it is correct because it is 5 to 10 times the ROF of similar cal aair weapons represented in the game. I'm comparing Estab ROF's, not actual.

Edit: no, it's not the Quad, but the ROF is actually higher than the Quad.
I'm fairly certain its a mistake[:)]

Small Estab error?

The rate of fire for the aair on the .50 cal M2 HB MG - veh is set to 25/100/200.
I don't believe this is correct.

RE: Scenario Parameter File and Event Engine

<t> I think I understand what you are saying. I used to do C++ programming, but it was years ago...<br/> Maybe ask for feedback from the scenario designers on what they would like to be able to modify. It might be a small list and easily accomplished.<br/> <br/> TOAW had an event engine. The interfa...

Scenario Parameter File and Event Engine

<t> Dave,<br/> <br/> I've seen you mention that certain variables that affect the game "could be tweaked". <br/> I'm guessing you are referencing parameters that are in the game code. Any thought of exposing these variables to the scenario designer in the form of scenario parameter file? The purpose...
