Try setting construction of new bases to "recommend" and I'll bet you'll get a prompt requesting to build the same base that it won't let you manually build.

Playing around with it a little more it seems like the rotating "cloud" effect might have something to do with it, as if the text is behind the cloud and being obscured by it. It doesn't appear to be graphics settings on my end, and scaling is disabled.

Here we are almost 2 years after this post and with version 1.2.0.5 this is still an issue. It hurts my eyes to look at the zoomed out display when trying to read the system labels. I've tried all combinations of screen resolution and UI scale and it always is blurry. Can we get this fixed please???

Returning to the game after a long hiatus. I remember one of the things that used to frustrate me was how freighters always appeared to make a run without filling cargo holds to capacity.

When the save opens, there is an Advisor Suggestion popup to build a mining station at planet Trouwasema which is in the Callestas system. This one is one of the better examples of this I've seen because it's way out there. There are no construction ships that can go there and ...

I find that I am constantly micro-managing exploration ships on full automation because they will stay out exploring beyond their fuel range. Eventually refuel will fire but by the time it does fire they are beyond fuel range and end up limping home under emergency power. It doesn't happen every ...

The Base Construction Advisor, which I have set to "suggest", keeps giving me a new message about every minute or so to build a mining station at a planet. The resource at that planet is indeed on my list of resource shortages.

Kind of going down the rabbit hole of "individual ship queues" is more detail for giving exploration ships orders.

With a ship selected, I see 2 sets of rings of dashed lines. The inner ring is orange, and the outer one is yellow. Tried searching the manual and forum but came up with nothing.

Am I correct that the inner orange ring is hyper-jump range and the yellow ring is fuel range?

I'd also like to have a mouse trap option in addition to edge scrolling. I run 3 monitors (game in center, pdf's on second monitor, internet browser on third) and the only edge scrolling I get is vertically because of that.
