RE: Is there a population pool cap?

<t> I sort of get it.&nbsp; Does that mean that Austria with a population of 1 can individually hold 1 in its population pool?&nbsp; And that Germany with a total population of 12 can hold up to 12 in its population pool?&nbsp; That doesn't exactly make sense because you can build more than six ...

Is there a population pool cap?

<r> I was wondering how the population pool worked. It is pretty simple when looking at it in total from the nation side as each territory in the nation provides population at the beginning of the turn and population is used for production at the end of the turn.<br/>

But what if you held a ...

<t> The 1.200 manual (pdf) is in the Manuals subdirectory within the GGWaW install directory (c:\Matrix Games\Gary Grigsby's World at War\ by default).&nbsp; It is called "WaW MANUAL 1.200" and all the red text within is an update from the first manual.&nbsp; <br/>

RE: Can you fill in the gaps on research rules?

<t> Boy am I embarassed. I finally found the 1.200 manual by looking in the Matrix games directory and it answers most of my questions on page 76 and 77.<br/>

Can you fill in the gaps on research rules?

<t> I know most of the research rules for world standard and below but I don't have the definitive formulas for world standard + 1 and for H. Bomber Evasion and Land Attack.<br/>
<br/>
For world standard and below, listed research cost is 5 + (# of units)/5 with all fractions rounded up. * Note ...

RE: French Indochina starts as W. Allies?

Ah, that is it. Thanks so much. What I am doing is testing some Japanese research strategies (along with some interaction with China/Russia) so I am running through the other 2 world powers until I get to what I need to do. I was too lazy to have Germany take France.

French Indochina starts as W. Allies?

<t> I have been playing 1.202 for a while with no problem and all of a sudden French Indochina starts the game brown. So I take the Japanese Airbone sitting on the island there and invade it on turn 1 (Spring 1940). D'oh, it unlocks the W. Allies.<br/>

RE: Vichy France unfreeze, bug or feature?

<t> The way you would "legally" unlock Vichy is to use your Tactical Bomber from Southern Italy to attack the Infantry in Tunisia before you rush your tanks to Western France.&nbsp; Bring in a Heavy Fleet for bombarment and you have a good shot of taking out the Infantry.&nbsp; Walk in a Militia ...
