RE: What's your turn workflow like?

<t> Watch the replay then I check the information screen first - Checking air losses tells me a lot as the allies. If a lot of patrol aircraft are being lost to A2A, for example, that means the KB is probably around with its massive CAP. Unusual OPs losses or high combat losses are investigated then ...

RE: Roll Call

<t> Been playing since the beginning of WitP. A friend talked me into buying it then dropped out around February of '42. I kept going, did the AI for a while then had a couple of great PBEM games run into late '43. <br/>

RE: Great day to be in DC

<t> I saw it from Gravelly point, right beside National airport. One of the P51s (I think it was) had engine trouble and had to land at National - came in right over our heads. A great show. There were people crowding all the parks along the river and my wife says the roof tops were crowded in DC ...

RE: Training USN Torpedo Bomber Pilots

<t> I like to put all the carrier torpedo bombers on train for the first few months of the war. They really aren't that useful, range is too short, the allied carriers shouldn't be in combat anyway and there isn't any other Navy air group with torpedos except patrol planes. They are needed elsewhere ...

Don't units have to be in move mode for the SST to load?

Looking for aggressive IJN opponent, [CLOSED]

<t> I think I'm pretty experienced with WitPAE, having played since the beginning of WitP, way back when. Looking for an experienced, aggressive Japanese opponent willing to take the campaign into 1943. <br/>

RE: Semi OT - Naval Observations

A very interesting post wdolson.

I only have two models under my belt: My father's ship, a little DE, and my father-in-law's plane, a PB4Y. I envy your collection.

RE: OT - Emperor movie

Funny, but I thought that the film's title was referring to the way MacArthur thought about his own post-war position...

Funny, I assume it referred to Mac's prewar position in the Philippines.

I would be very interested in a game if you are still looking. My experience is similar to yours. Maybe a few minor details to discuss but overall I find your HRs spot on.

RE: Looking for Japanese player, scenario 1 or 2.

<t> I thought I was really taking a chance the first time I tried 2 day turns. The first few turns I missed the super micro-detail but I caught on after a few turns. I really don't miss checking some LCU every turn and seeing that it has only moved 3 miles. It's like my conveys and LCUs move twice ...

Looking for a serious, aggressive Japanese player for full campaign game

<t> I've been playing WitP since it first came out. Played a couple of PBEM games in the old WitP, this would be my first AE PBEM game. Its a big commitment and I am looking for someone who is willing to go until the end of 1943 at the very least. I'd say I am experienced as far as understanding the ...

RE: unable to find PW data error

<t> That makes sense. Thanks for the help. Any other way to recover those registry entries? At this point a re-install is going to cost me 80 buck. I thought I had backed up the original download but it looks like I just backed all the update .zip files, hence my question. WitP wasn't my top ...

I just copied the whole WITPAE directory onto the external drive via drag and drop. Then reversed the process later, after the new HD was set up, OS installed, etc. Could there be a file that is stored outside of that directory that I missed?<br/>

unable to find PW data error

<t> A couple of months ago I had some problems with my computer - turned out my harddrive was failing. I lost pretty much everything I had except that I managed to back up WitP-AE by saving the whole directory onto an external drive, but it looks like my original install file is damaged (yes, I know ...

RE: Big Team WitP

I am interested as well.&nbsp; Allied side.&nbsp; I like trying to figure out how to deal with this [:@]&nbsp;land system and I can't be trusted with a CV, so a mostly land command would be best for me. China or Burma/India perhaps?
