RE: Generals Bios Project (yes, it's time) (finally)

<t> Concerning the biography on Lt. Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest above and the limits to the number of characters noted in these biographies, I suggest just entering the birth and death date in parenthesis as (1821–1877) instead of (b. 1821, d. 1877).&nbsp; Even among genealogical biographies this is ...

<r> Gil and genie144,<br/>
Good points and in principle I do agree with genie144 that this outcome seems to lack plausibility. While Gil’s points do shed light on this subject by his two examples noted below, these results remind me a bit of the Battle of Chancellorsville where incompetent ...

<r> Hi genie144,<br/>
Interesting points in modern warfare, but there are numerous examples of units facing such odds on both sides during black powder history in general and the American Civil War in particular. One of my favorite examples is that of Brice’s Crossroads:<br/>

<t> If the “Always Quick Combat” option is checked or unchecked can a player still individually pick and choose after the start of the game those battles one desires to tactically play? For example, I may want to “quick” battle small skirmishes while tactically playing large battles. Is such ...

Gil,
Yes, he was a colonel who was made the rank of general after the war, but I did not know how you were entering such soldiers. For example, Nathan Bedford Forrest was a private when the Civil War began. Nonetheless, the Kanawha Rifles would be a nice addition.
