RE: Arsenals in Southern Steel scenario

<t> According to Wikipedia, Connecticut was called the "arsenal of democracy":<br/>
<br/>
"Middletown, Connecticut was the major supplier of pistols to the United States government during the War of 1812, with numerous gun manufacturers in the area. In 1810, Oliver Bidwell built the first pistol ...

RE: Request for "flavor quotes"

<t> Found another one, that might fit. It`s from an unnamed soldier of the 28th Pennsylvania, who describes the confederate charge against the upper slopes of Culp`s Hill on the 3rd of July:<br/>
"Down the opposite slope they came in beautiful alignment, their officers gallantly leading - now up ...

RE: Request for "flavor quotes"

I found it in the book "Brigades of Gettysburg", which lists Berkeley`s diary "Four years in the Confederate artillery" as the source (his entry from the 2nd of July 1863, to be precise).
Berkely served in the Amherst Va. Arty, II. Corps Artillery Reserve.

RE: Request for "flavor quotes"

<t> Private Henry R. Berkeley, an artilleryman in the ANV, about Iverson`s repelled charge at Gettysburg:<br/>
"There were seventy-nine North Carolinians laying dead in a straight line. I stood on their right and looked down their line. It was perfectly dressed. Three had fallen to the front, the ...

RE: Time is running out...

Yes, that`s how I do it. On the bright side, there`s one backstabbing governor less to sabotage my war effort (like the governor of Kansas, who`s sitting in his sandbox crying for a Mfg. Center and opposing weapons research[:@]).[:D]

RE: Time is running out...

<t> I just noticed that I can`t build structures or units in Washington via the "city list" menu. It probably has something to do with there not being a governor for Washington, since I had the same problem with Missouri during the first turns. After a governor for Missouri was elected, everything ...

Will to fight

<t> I couldn`t find an answer to this in the manual:<br/>
Which factors influence the amount of "will to fight points" (for lack of a better word) one starts a battle with? Obviously the morale and the role of attacker/defender, but are there other factors?<br/>
And are there events that may raise ...

Argh, I just noticed that my last statement might sound pretty ambivalent. My apologies, of course it`s meant in the positive sense (sorry, not a native speaker).[:o]

Well I guess it speaks for the quality of the game, if players have the time to worry about minor flavor features...[;)]

Additional flags?

<t> Is there any hope that additional flags might be added in future patches (or maybe we can even to this ourselves)?<br/>
I really like customizing my LUs with their own flags. It appears to me that most northern LUs seem to come from New York and Illinois (haven`t played long enough to be sure ...

Some of those show up on amazon.com at reasonable prices. I got the Louisiana Vol. for $10 and Virginia for $20.

Thanks, that might be worth a look. [:)]
