RE: minor fleet use

<t> Yeah, the Mantis save should cover it, but if you need more instances let me know. I was just experimenting to see if it was limited to certain situations (I thought it might be France-only, like some other bugs, or that maybe the pre-existing GB-France war was causing confusion about whether ...

RE: minor fleet use

And it also applies to a France-Spain battle (Dutch fleets don't take part), so it seems to be completely across the board.

RE: minor fleet use

<t> I set up another test, in which GB got control of Sweden, and the Russia-Sweden war lapsed so Sweden became a fully fledged GB free state. Then got into a naval battle with France. Swedes sailed with the GB fleet, but did not take part in the battle. Also, the Dutch were with the French fleet ...

RE: 1.08.02 Auto save not working

I saw this too. It seems that if you install 1.08 in a separate folder (as per recommendation), the installation doesn't create a save folder, so there's nowhere for the autosaves (or any other saves) to go. However, if you just manually create one, it seems to work.

RE: Minor Free State Problem

<t> I don't know the answer, but I can tell you that using your scenario I was able to conquer those states (as France), free them, and build from them. So they're not unable to build across the board, if that helps.<br/>

militia casualties impasse

<t> I was playing the 1792 scenario (which is a blast--thanks Yearworld), and ran into a problem. I don't think it's specific to the scenario, but it's a militia-related problem, and France starts that scenario with lots of militia, so that's probably why I haven't seen it before.<br/>

<t> In 23 trials, some 50-odd percent of the time there would be no casualties, 34% of the time 1 casualty, and the remaining 13% of the time 2 or more casualties. So it is higher than average, but not especially weird.<br/>

RE: Naval-Evac battles

Blockading fleet should indeed get the wind gauge.

In the case above, if GB rolled a 1, modified to 2, that would sink 4 Naples ships. Then Naples could roll a 6, for 25%, and sink the 1 GB ship, no?

RE: Die rolls

<t> I set up a test case vs. the AI, with Napoleon vs. Mack, and replayed the battle a number of times. Each battle should count as 2 trials, since each side has a leader. First I tried it 20 times, and had no casualties. Then I tried a further 20, and had 1 casualty. So that's 1 in 80 trials.<br ...

<t> That does sound like a lot. The siege battles shouldn't count, either. If any leader casualties occur during a siege, that would itself be a bug, I think. (Or is it a deviation?)<br/>
