no ability to save during a turn - can only save at end of your turn.

You can save during a turn, but not in PBEM.

Unfortunately the only advice I can give is to update your video drivers. Also try to lower your FPS setting to a very low setting, like 5-8.

The intention was to reduce supply given by towns by a further 25% in realistic mode. I am going to check this and fix it in the next patch.

All the graphics is fully moddable, it is a bit of work but you can change the units to NATO symbols with any graphics editor.

We do not know, we did not have access to a 64 bit OS for testing.
You can try the For Liberty demo or the free game 1848. If any of these do run, then NII will run too.
