Re: Two more French planes - help please.

Top one looks like a Martin Maryland. Bottom one is a DB-7, variant on the A-20 Havoc.

Re: 15.5cm/60mm Naval gun

When examining armor penetration for a particular gun, one has to consider:

age and wear of the gun barrel
age and source of propellant
crew proficiency
atmospheric conditions affecting trajectory and atmospheric friction on projectile
age, oxidation, location, slant and chemical composition of ...

D-342 Dewoitine Air France prototype. Single aircraft produced, Google says it crashed in Algeria in 1942.

Re: DaBabes question

If the Wikipedia entry for the 503rd Parachute Regiment is to be believed, the unit participated in both airborne and amphibious operations. Different battalions were added or reassigned, including one that was sent to Britain.

Read the Wikipedia entry or get the actual unit history from the Army ...

Re: Centre line, Internal/ external etc for bombs esp.

Hi:

The Avenger was designed to carry its torpedo and/or bombs in an internal bay.

Not sure if it even had bomb attachment points on the wings. It was a heavy airframe and getting off the deck even with a catapult was tough. No need to dirty up the wings.

The Kate was a generation behind the ...

Is there a single place I can get WitPAE updates

Thanks

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>So your point is that the warning is followed through. When I played the RHS mod, you were allowed to use early warning and move some ships and put up a CAP. We played in teams. Caution though, RHS is for experienced players. So don't dive into the deep side yet....<e ...

<t> The failure to heed the warnings of both the Army radar and the Navy ships defending the harbor entrance were tactical blunders, neither would have prevented the crippling of the Battle Force. At best an aroused defense could have used a few minutes warning to go to Condition One on the ships ...

That's what I'm afraid of. It's an unfortunate limitation on what could be an interesting alternative history. I am afraid that the limitations would be coded to Turn 1, so could not be avoided no matter what start date you specified.
