RE: January Hotfix 2A HQ Bug Fix

Why is WinZip and WinRAR asking me for a password when I attempt to extract the hotfix? Is this a problem with my windows setup or the zip programs? I doubt its the hotfix download?

RE: December Hotfix for v1.05 - 2nd Army Issues

I couldn't get the hotfix to work either. Until version 1.05 is permanently repaired, I went back to version 1.04.

RE: What happened to 2nd Army HQ?

I'm having this problem also. Every time I reach July and Kaunas is captured. Is there a solution to this? Do I need to uninstall and then reinstall but only to version 1.04?

RE: Counters and Historical accuracy

Thanks for the reply, Ronald. So historical settings would be all rules on...including Detailed Supply. Then Zero bonus for Germans? How about bonus for the Russians?

Counters and Historical accuracy

<t> Great Game. Definitely a step up from PC(in my opinion). <br/>
<br/>
I'm kind of a traditionalist. Had many Avalon Hill games back in the 70s and 80s. Therefore, I like counters better. But in GAW I like the Airplane sprites better than the air counters. Is there a way to have both? Counters ...

RE: Case Blue vs Germany at War

<t> I bought DCCB a few days ago. All my concerns have, so far, been answered. The turns do take a while. But the decision making is such a key element in the game, that how long the turns take is ok. I was afraid of movement is being a "click fest." And there are a lot of clicks. But, once again, I ...

RE: GaW or DCCB

<t> You're absolutely correct. I bought DCCB several days ago. The game mechanics are very intuitive. Its simple enough that you can play the game while learning and discovering all the deeper concepts that increase the enjoyment level. I've also discovered (much to my surprise) that learning about ...

RE: GaW or DCCB

Hahaha, I was afraid you'd say that. I've spent time reading the forums and DCCB has so many people say how good it is. And almost nobody criticizes it to any degree. And it seems to me war gamers can be a picky bunch. So DCCB seems very acclaimed. It may well be worth the click fest aspect.

RE: GaW or DCCB

From some of the reviews and AARs I've read, moving may seem like a click fest. I have a laptop...no mouse. What do you think? And thank you for the analysis. Your comments make me think id be happy with either. DCCB Is the direction I'm leaning.

Case Blue vs Germany at War

<t> I understand that GaW is a simpler experience. But for those of you who have played both, how much simpler? I'm trying to decide which to buy. I am leaning to DCCB but not if its way more complicated. If War in the East is a 10 on the degree of difficulty scale and Panzer Corps is 1, where are ...

Future of this Game and Possible Expansion

<t> Is this game doing well enough that there will be further significant expansion beyond Ghost <br/>
Divisions and Storms of Steel? Its hard to imagine The Eastern Front without additional units, Stalingrad and the Battles of 1944 and 45. I'm trying to decide what is the better use of my money ...

RE: Public Beta v1.20 with Shading fix

<t> Ok, so I very rarely/never buy a game without seeing a demo. Conflict of Heroes looks very interesting. But when I download the demo, I get the unsupported shaders error. So, am I to assume that if I bought the actual game, it has been patched so this isn't a problem for me. My laptop is 3 years ...

I agree with you PeterK1. I'm debating on buying this....but I wanted more info on what other people thought. Although the level of discourse on this thread is entertaining....The AI vs Human debate was settled long ago for me.

RE: Issues

Hey..guess what. I got yet another error. I've even reinstalled the game and every available update at least 3 times. New error: C:\Matrix Games\Campaigns on The Danube 1805 & 1809\Graphics\backgrounds\BattleBack.bmp.

This is a heck of a deal. no runs, no hits 3 errors.
