RE: Fix for Convoy

Ah, I had to edit both the land_units.csv and naval_units.csv files.  It appears I've fixed my problem.

RE: Fix for Convoy

<t> It seems I've got a similar bug. The last lines of ConsoleOut.txt are:<br/>

&#65279;31 Corrazzata is supposed to be loaded into Maxim Gorky<br/>

MMCC3 - Java

<r> I don't have the docs with me so I can't grab the website from them. Could someone tell me the URL for the website for development / support of the MMCC3 multi-player add on?<br/>

I do <B><s></s>not<e></e></B> want to muck up my machine by installing Microsoft's Java. I'd like to ...

RE: Stack limits

<t> Interesting write up in the link you provided.&nbsp; The actual assault force reads as two regiments backed up by artillery.<br/>

I haven' delved into AWD yet so I don't know the game system's technical details.&nbsp; This is a common problem in my opinion in all global WW2 simulations ...

<t> Pull up a google satellite view of Gibraltar.&nbsp; It's tiny.&nbsp; Standing shoulder to shoulder it might be difficult to fit 20,000 men (not to mention their equipment.&nbsp; Gibraltar is roughly 6.5 square kilometers. Typically a division in WW2 deployed covering 500 square kilometers. Malta ...

RE: Stack limits

In my opinion certain locations like Gibraltar and Malta should have "stacking limits" otherwise these strategic locations can spiral into becoming unrealistically large battles or absurdly large garrisons just to prevent invasion.

GKar, nice to see you here too.&nbsp; I just responded on the other thread.

Yes, I think I will get AWD, but I suspect most of my time and attention will be on "Making History".

RE: A World Divided and HoI Doomsday

<r> GKar, thanks for the welcome and suggestion to read this thread. As you know I poured an incredible amount of time into trying to modify HoI/HoI2/DD. W@W-AWD and "Making History - The Calm and The Storm" are both getting attention from me now. Both have a lot of potential to be more enjoyable ...

RE: General Modding

<r> Many different forms of games can be enjoyable and for different reasons. AWD sounds very "fun". But it sounds like it falls short of being the accurate historical <B><s></s>simulation<e></e></B> that I've been looking for (and not finding). I may buy AWD and enjoy it if my friends also ...

RE: General Modding

<t> Have you ever tried "Hearts of Iron" (or HoI2 or Doomsday - the sequels)?&nbsp; I don't recommend it and it probably would not interest you from what you've said. HoI technically runs in turns of one hour (but it's real time with an hour taking only about one second).<br/>

RE: General Modding

Well the damaged resources concept is better than nothing!

{sigh} Yes, clearly my desire for complex and realistic economics isn't going to be satisfied.&nbsp; But AWD could still be an amusing game to pass a bit of time with.

RE: General Modding

<r> The point of starting in 1938 is to allow players to engage in diplomacy, and customize their nation via research and production. Thus Germany might choose to <B><s></s>not<e></e></B> build as much armor as they did historically or perhaps they would emphasize submarine production more ...

General Modding

<t> I've read the forums a bit and it looks like most of the modding is graphics. There is some mention that the core rules aren't intended to be modded. My mods of "Hearts of Iron" (and it's sequels) virtually rebuilt the game completely (extensive changes to the combat system). I've done a lot of ...
