RE: U.S.S. Arizona

<t> I work at the national personnel records center in St Louis. And have the distinct honor of working with military records of vets from all branches of service. But one the coolest things I have done there is to work with records of those who were on the Arizona went she went down. These records ...

The Campaign

Very interested in buying this for its worth as a flight sim but really cannot find anything substantial to "educate" myself on whether the campaign portion of the game is very in depth, detailed or even interesting. Have a b-day on Sunday so any input is apprecieated--and fast[:)]

RE: WitP Flute Music in Commercial??

<t> My 17 month old son is familiar with 2 songs (other than kiddie tunes), they are the theme to "The Office" and the enire WITP repertoire of tunes. When that commercial aired this weekend he put his blocks down an turned and looked at the computer screen, which was blank. All I could say was ...

RE: What did you get for Christmas???

<t> Gone on such a tear with getting books the last two year that I have a backlog, so I decided this year to only buy, or ask for as gifts, videos. So, I will be settling in for the rest of the winter with Victory at Sea and a 5 disk collection called Battlefront Europe which includes the following ...

RE: My Grandfather's Military history

<t> Haven't been at this forum for a while, new job, new baby, moving, etc. But I have to add my two cents. I work at the National Personnel Records Center in St. Loius, so if anybody has any questions about whose records are there or which were burned, or how to get them I guess I could be of some ...

<t> Bustoff, I stayed up way too late last night perusing this board and you are absolutely correct about the type of folks who hang out here. And I must say that Erwin really starts a lot of interesting topics--which are followed by interesting responses. I am going to look into into this one and ...

RE: MLB's Current Alignment -- Why?

<t> I have heard locally, in Missouri, that one of the reasons it was the Brewers who moved to the NL instead of the Royals was that when the Royals were asked if they would like to move (and thereby take part in the geographic rivalry with St. Louis) their reply was that they would rather host&nbsp ...

Plans for AI Game

<t> I know there was recently a thread debating the ills of the AI recently so I will try to be specific here. I would like to play PBEM and understand that said practice approaches nirvana, however, due to time and circumstances I don't think it would be fair to others to drag them into something ...

I have always thought that if there were thunderstorms that the aircraft in the affected sector would not launch anyway, so why stand them down? Am I incorrect in this? Or do they try and take off and suffer damage and rtb?

<r> Seems the group you are considering is a good bunch. There is that fine line between being authentic and realistic and having fun too. <r> Can't recall any such planes in '93. I only remember the civilian craft and the one time that a C-5 landed. That was the biggest thing I have ever seen in my whole life--that could fly. And it was the only time I remember that the DI's granted eyeball liberty.<br/>
