Re: I regret buying from Matrix store (Napoleon)

I've played these games for over 20 years and still enjoy them. And fantastic value for money!

Well the Matrix version does. The older versions do not.

RE: THE WARGAMERS CLUB FOR GENTLEMEN

I really don't know. I think so as the forum is still active.

There are also other clubs such as the Blitz and The ACWGC although the latter has a few esoteric characters.

RE: Updates to Battleground Series?

Hi

If you mean the old original Battleground games, they will not work with Win 7 and later. You have to bite the musket ball and buy the games again from Matrix, which are compatible with Win7.

It works fine for me. Maybe it's a Mac thing, or else your mouse buttons are reversed? I deselect if I press the left button.

RE: Where's everyone hiding?

<t> There is still some interest in the old BG games. I play them from time to time - in fact I have 2 pbem games going at the moment - although I agree, the HPS engine is better and there aren't the Windows compatibility issues. The Napoleonic Wargame Club and The Blitz both have people still ...

RE: Recalling Skirmishers And Squadrons

<t> Not a bug as such. <br/>
<br/>
Indeed those units can break down completely. However, in order to reform you need to have the parent unit which did not fully break down, in the same hex as it's 'children'. Sometimes that can even be just 25 men remaining as a formed batallion. If the parent is ...

RE: PBEM Save write error.

<t> Well mine works fine and I use PBEM a lot. So it's something to do with your installation. Are you using any mods or anything like that? The .bte file should be in the game subfolder. Try deleting the pbem xxx and yyy files as they sometimes get corrupted. That's a few of the usual issues ...

RE: NIR Bug?

<t> It's my guess that something was missed when you modded the scenario. Number of turns/number of night turns or something like that. You did it manually I assume as ther Editor doesn't work with the Matrix version. I still have XP on one pc and can edit scenarios using the Editor on that one so ...
