RE: Feeling a bit isolated

<t> Fentum,<br/>
<br/>
You have stumbled on one of the Gamey tactics in CS, YES non-combat units do exert ZOC for retreat and supply purposes<br/>
<br/>
I play all of my games H2H and this is considered unacceptable play by most, usually covered in a ROE before play starts thougha all of the ...

RE: Jason, one more hiccup

<t> I am aware of the EF Night graphics for 2D mode (the black overlay when you hit V or H)<br/>
<br/>
The files I mentioned will fix that.<br/>
<br/>
The Night Graphics work for 3D mode for snow terrain as I tested all 3D views in EF throughly. There was an issue with the 3D modes for night ...

RE: Feeling a bit isolated

<t> Coralsaw, <br/>
<br/>
It depends what you define ZoC for, like I stated it is only used for supply and retreats, NOT movement, traditonal ZOC rules force a unit to stop moving the moment it enters an enemy ZOC and will not allow them to move from one ZOC hex to another. These go back to ...

RE: Feeling a bit isolated

<t> The ZOC or Zone of Control stuff isn't in the manual, I guess for a wargame designer of the experience of John Tiller it was taken to be a given. So it was implemented for both supply, retreats and assaults.<br/>
<br/>
Units cannot retreat into an enemy controlled ZOC nor can they obtain ...

RE: Jason, one more hiccup

<t> This is a known issue, I can see from your earlier post that you do not have the 1.01 patch installed. You will need to download the patch to get the EF II night graphics to work, as the new rules have been applied to the 1.00 version but not the terrain files.<br/>
<br/>
Even after you have ...

RE: Feeling a bit isolated

<t> Supply follows the same rules as the assault rules, in which units do exert a ZOC in terms of surrounding a unit. ZOC is exerted in teh 6 hexes around the, unfortunately for all units including unarmoured transport.<br/>
<br/>
If you have friendly units adjacent to you and they can trace a ...

I am happily debugging unit graphics at the moment. WF has a plethora of units with .bit and .bmp file errors, not to mention some of the missing range values. <br/>

Why Unit graphics ...

RE: Riderless horses are now firing.....

<t> Gents,<br/>
<br/>
this is a deliberate consequence of allowing riders to fire whilst mounted, in order for a carrier unit to fire it has to be assigned firepower. It would be the same if a truck was allowed to fire whilst loaded. <br/>
<br/>
I reckon it's pretty realistic as typically a ...

RE: Are you having Campaign Problems?

<t> Jason,<br/>
<br/>
When debugging the Night graphics stuff, I realised that the default terrain set has been replaced by the NWE terrain set in fact no matter how many times I edited the old terrain2d.bmp file I couldn't get the changes to trigger on a map.<br/>

Perhaps the Campaign ...

In 3D, 3D zoom out, 2D or 2d Extreme Zoom in a night scenario when the LOS target radio button or the Move to Radio Button is selected, the non visible hexes are replaced with a black opaque overlay. <br/>

<t> Perhaps there is an End of line character missing or the last value on the Hard Attack needs to be a 1 <br/>

I don't see how deleting the last 10 numbers would work, there are 32 for each&nbsp;line which is fine<br/>
