Thinking of buying, questions first

<t> hi,<br/>
<br/>
thinking of buying this one but there were some features of the previous version that really put me off and I'm looking to find out how the new one compares.<br/>

3D Analyzer vs. serial number check

hi,

there was talk before Christmas of finding a way of making 3-D Analyser work with the serial number check. Just wondered if there had been any progress with that.

cheers

Invisible combat

<t> hi,<br/>
<br/>
Just started out with AT and I have an initial puzzlement. In the computer's turn, I see "AI step 1/2/3" etc, accompanied by combat sounds. Evidently this is the computer engaging my forces in battle, and I can see some of the results afterwards, usually to my disadvantage ...

In the meantime...

<t> hi,<br/>
<br/>
I echo the requests to know if Combat Command is still on the drawing board, or has gone for good. I thought it was a well thought-out, nicely proportioned game, with a welcome emphasis on command and control and rules that did the job without getting bogged down in details. It ...

RE: One thing I've noticed

<t> ah yes - I'd forgotten this was how it worked. You had control over placement, it was just a pain to locate all the units that belonged together. I was sure there were situations where you had no choice about placement and units were all over teh place. Maybe that was the original pre-patch ...

RE: One thing I've noticed

<t> hi,<br/>
<br/>
Was this in the dynamically generated scenarios? This was a "feature" in the Campaign series which people complained about from the beginning. Any time the computer generated a battle, you would get formations scattered the breadth of the map, resulting in lots of out-of-supply ...
