RE: How to guarantee a level playing field

<t> If he hits the city with all his air and then&nbsp;attacks it with units that have good leaders attached, they can all go pretty easily in one turn. Generally one would want to have Manstein attached (or maybe Rommel), but in some cases, with bad luck, the cities&nbsp;will hold out with one or ...

It's a game breaker for sure. What if I wanted to give up Romania during a retreat? Game over. That's not fun.

RE: Moving airforce across the Atlantic?

The only&nbsp;other option would be to just operate them across, like rail movement. It might make sense, but it would be grossly overpowered.

RE: My suggestions

<t> I agree that the Allies seem to be overpowered at this stage in PBEM. The French garrison spam is gamey, but I must admit that I do it,&nbsp;simply because it works. I have made huge mistakes and still won as the Allies, but this is not the case as the Axis.<br/>

I&nbsp;also think that Stalingrad should be another Russian Capital, so that the Russians can play a more southern strategy if they want.

Von if you took all your forces and placed them around Perm the Axis would cut through that as if it were butter. You need to damage and batter the Axis as they come forward. Hopefullly saving some of those battlehardened vet prior to that last ...

RE: Balkans & Norway

Norway is good for the Allies is because it's close to the UK and one can grab it fairly early without being open to a Sealion.
As Axis, I have never bothered with it.

RE: Balkans & Norway

If you pack most of your defense around Perm, I think it will stop the Moscow to Perm gambit. There is no way he's taking Perm if you have everything there.

We could put a capital city for UK in Egypt - but it would be quite powerful and let them build units there - almost too good or more realistic? What do people think? I would probably start the UK with less there then.

Take the winter war for example; the defender had a much larger advantage in winter than they did in fair weather. The Ardennes offensive is a reverse example, where air was grounded, allowing some advances ...

RE: Oil change in new patch?

<t> I agree thet the current oil consumption rule gives the Axis little chance to win.<br/>
<br/>
If you buy all leg infantry, you will have enough oil, but you will run out of manpower and won't have enough offensive punch.<br/>
If you buy a few tanks and air, you will run out of oil. If you use ...

RE: Human vs Human Has anyone won as Allies Yet

I thought I would bump this because it seems now that the Allies can easily win. I find it much harder to play the Axis vs. humans.

Am I just bad or have others found this to be the case? Does some strategy exist that makes the Axis unbeatable?

Maybe&nbsp;pull them back a bit so he can't reach them so easily. He won't want to lose any CV's and will be reluctant to come too close.
&nbsp;
The Low Countries are just a killing field though,&nbsp;with the CV's and the Spammy French ships.
