Subject says it all. In Windowed mode, should the window be locked to the top-left corner of the screen? Just looks kinda strange in 1920x1200 resolution. :)

<t> SSG have been a massive disappointment of late.&nbsp; From the much advertised, but ultimately unusable Battlefront editor (for anyone with a day job who doesn't have a degree in graphic design), to the strange single-scenario marketing of Kharkov: Disaster on the Donets.&nbsp; I for one don't ...

Opponent Wanted

I've got a bunch of plays under my belt but only against the AI. I'm looking for an opponent who is also new(ish) to PBEM.

Small scenario preferred, around 4 turns a week.

cheers!

<r> <QUOTE><s>
</s>I suggest you have a look at the scenarios in AT that does not make use of research & production (Crete for example)<e>
</e></QUOTE>

I don't think the North Africa scenario has any research and production, only timed reinforcements.<br/>

<r> <QUOTE><s>
</s>As far as the Africa Corps scenarios.... WHICH scenario did you try?? There are so many of them.<e>
</e></QUOTE>

I was actually referring to the Africa scenario from Advanced Tactics DiT. Have you given that one a try?<br/>

RE: Comparison with The Operational Art of War III

<t> Yeah I thought it was probably the AI which was partially to blame. &nbsp;[:)]&nbsp; Probably the other ant-surround culprits are scenarios which give the attacker an opportunity to divide and surround before the defender gets a chance to establish a defence.<br/>

I'm not here to bash AT ...

<r> <QUOTE><s>
</s>ORIGINAL: DeadInThrench<br/>
Then, there is the 'ants blocking retreats' problem..... TOAW allows retreats into enemy controlled hexes.. but allows for many smaller units, as well as breaking down larger units into smaller ones and.... you end up using these smaller units ...

<t> Thanks Larry.<br/>

Strangely, after posting that message I kicked off a game and managed a decisive victory as Germany!&nbsp; Good fun.&nbsp; It seems timing your retreats in Russia is important when playing the Axis, especially in '45.<br/>

Help for new player

<t> So what's the secret to becoming proficient at WaW? I've played 5-6 games so far as Germany with auto-production but keep getting bogged down in 1942 when I invade Russia.<br/>
Is it the sort of game which rewards lots of play and study? I seem to be getting badly hosed on Normal difficulty ...
