Location labels

Hello,

Is there any way of bringing up location labels whilst scrolling around the map?

In the courier message control screen, how do I know where the locations are in the "Move to location" dialogue?

Thanks!

RE: ( ) in unit information screen

<t> Each location in the game has an unimproved victory value. This is then modified by improvements in airbase and port size. So, in your example, 18(3), the location has an unimproved victory value of 3 and a modified value of 18. Were the airfield or port size to be expanded, the victory value ...

RE: HQs fragmenting

My understanding is that HQ fragments supply support only and don't give combat bonuses.

HQs fragmenting

<t> Hi,<br/>
<br/>
I'm currently in early 1943 in a game against the AI (I don't have enough consistent time for PBEM nowadays!). I'm playing as the Allies. I've just done an amphibious landing where the Corps HQ I landed as part of the amphib assault is now appearing as a fragment at the base ...

RE: WITP/AE assetshare V 1.02

Excellent.

Will the software allow trading in individual aircraft? I'd like to get a few extra B24s for a PBEM I'm about to start.

Enough to outfit two or three Sentai would be sufficient.

RE: Amphibious Landings

The house rule allows landings at undeveloped dot bases (such as Lunga), but not at non-dot-non-base hexes.

Ops, Sigint and Combat Reports

<t> I've not played AE for about 12 months. I've just reinstalled it and patched to the latest version. For some reason I seem to be missing the ability to view ops, sigint and combat reports in game. I have them in the save folder as text files, but not in-game. Even the three icons in the top bar ...

<t> Troop load button is correct. Taskforce must be docked.<br/>
<br/>
The troop load safety factor is at 0% because troop space is not needed to load airgroups. Only cargo space is required. Ignore the fact that the text is in red. Just go ahead and click on the "accept load" button. You should ...

RE: railroad repair question

<t> For the Axis side, your 5 player controlled rail repair units are called FBD1 to FBD5. When they are on an eligible piece of damaged railroad, there appears a bit of blue text in the unit information box at the right hand side of the screen that says "RRC 1" or "RRC 3". You click on this blue ...

Instructive AARs

<t> I've played my first GC (vs the computer opponent) and due to several mistakes made whilst learning the game, I've also decided to restart. I've decided to read through a few AARs in preparation for my new GC.<br/>

Are there any AARs that are must reads from an instructuve point of view ...

RE: Combat value in the Commander's Report never matches the CV of the Combat Unit?

My guess would be that it's to do with rounding.

A ground unit's combat value is equal to the sum of the combat values of the elements that make up that unit. These will be fractional so most combat units will have non-integer combat values.
