RE: 1936 Brooklyn Dodgers

Play Frey at 2B not SS; he'll make fewer errors.

RE: Player positions and contracts

<t> If you manage your games, you can simply play the player at the position you want him to learn.&nbsp; It will take time, but he'll eventually increase his range and hands rating at that position.&nbsp; Otherwise, I think the only thing you can do is go into his player card and change the primary ...

RE: Details

<t> I'll add details to my 10 season narrative as I go.&nbsp; Here's one.&nbsp; I acquired Calvin Chapman, a SS, in a trade I made for Bob Johnson (I sent Gehringer and Augie Galan the other way) in 1935.&nbsp; Chapman played 2 seasons in the big leagues, but hit over .300 his first year, albeit in ...

RE: Surprises

<t> Two suprises.&nbsp; Home Runs.&nbsp; They're not so plentiful in my league, which is ok by me.&nbsp; I'm not a fan of the HR; I'd rather see doubles and triples.&nbsp; Foxx has led the league in HRs with as many as 41 and as few as 17.&nbsp; His HR total is averaging somewhere around 29 or so ...

<t> I've won my league every year now for 10 years.&nbsp; I've won 6 WS and lost 4.&nbsp; I've learned to draft better and to take advantage of the AI.&nbsp; The oddest case, as other PSers have noted, is Joe DiMaggio.&nbsp; He was the 5th selection in the draft in '36.&nbsp; He was signed for only ...

10 Seasons of Puresim

<t> I've enjoyed many of your postings, reading about the seasons you've played in Puresim. So I thought I might try to capture the enjoyment I've had playing 10 seasons now. I'm going to try to overview my association, and I'll try not to be tedious.<br/>

RE: Should I help the AI GM?

<t> I know Shaun has been working on the AI a lot in recent PS versions, so I offer this in the spirit that there are always&nbsp;tweaks to be made.&nbsp; Today, in the 7th or 8th inning, with one out, down 3-0, a guy on first, and the cleanup hitter up, the AI sacrifice bunted.&nbsp; Seems a very ...

RE: Incremental Ratings Changes: Who Uses Them?

<t> I use this feature too for the reasons already cited--it seems more like real life.&nbsp; I usually play a 154 game schedule, and the ratings are refigured after game 50 and game 100.&nbsp; The only goofy thing about this is that it usually resets all pitchers to "feeling great" so you could ...

RE: Release Candidate 3

I have the same problem with the new stats browser--only lets me see one league.&nbsp; The tabs at the top to switch leagues don't appear to be working.&nbsp; Also, the top salaries sections lists salaries from only one team.

RE: Surprise New Feature Coming!

My season browser will only show me the leaders in one league; the tab at the top to switch leagues doesn't appear to be working.&nbsp; Also, toward the bottom of this page is a list of top salaries.&nbsp; I have players from only one team listed, not an actual list of top salaries.
