RE: Why are there so few LPs and AARs of TOAIII on youutube?

<t> I agree that a real time TOAW let's play would be too boring.<br/>
But someone willing to try might just register himself playing, cut the video to show only the relevant parts and describe it's strategy.<br/>
<br/>
It would be something like a more extended written AAR, where you can ...

RE: Undo last action

Note also that you can undo only the last move and only if haven't selected any other unit before. So unless you do the gamey recon trick yuo can only undo misclicks, if you don't correct it immediatly then you have to stick with it. So somehow the mistaken orderes are still contemplated

RE: Undo last action

<t> I don't know there should be an option to disable it during PBEM games. But sometimes it happens that you just click on the wrong hex or you move by mistake the wrong unit. In many cases it's not cheating, just correcting a mistake. it's aproblem only when you discover some enemy units you didn ...

RE: Turn burn unknown when defender ignores losses

I think 3 it's the best value for mrpb. It likely make you have 3 combat per turn and still doesn't screw so much the realism of the game.

<t> The latest news I have about it said that the update process was completed and the patch is about to be packaged and released. How long this is going to take it's hard to tell.<br/>
Hopefully will be a matter of days... Maybe Ralph is going to give us some news, if there are any.<br/>

PBEM under 3.4 Beta

<t> Can a PBEM game started under 3.4 Beta version be continued with the official release without any problem? <br/>
I ask that cause I'm willing to start a new game and I'm considering if I'm better to wait for the official version to come out or to start right now.<br/>
Is the patch going to ...

You can keep both versions of TOAW. You don't even need to have two full installations you just need to keep the 3.2 executable I think

<t> To have a toawlog.txt created in your installation folder you have to open the Opart.ini file, find the string toawlog and substitute N with Y.<br/>
At the next start of TOAW you should find the txt file. It's not easy to completely figure out what's going on and it may take a lot of time to ...

RE: Dynamic Formations

<t> In order to do that with some kind of realism you should add at every formation a commander with his own statistics, one of wich will be the number of unit he can control efficiently. Something like COTA or BFTB system.<br/>
The imporatnt thing is that if you overstack a formation you will have ...

<t> I think that after you have the OOB you should try to focus on the playability of the whole thing, for example dropping some small and pretty unuseful unit that can create some problem, and have a hard work in balancing the victory conditions.<br/>
It's a good idea, and surely I'm gonna follow ...

<t> A solution would be a single number wich can vary randomly from 1.5x to 2.5x the real losses. So we mantain the overconfidence of the pilots in consider enemy aircraft destroyed but no one can easily figure out the exact number.<br/>
