RE: Advanced Third Reich mod v1.3 for v1.16.02 Update

Looks like it. :)

I'm rather glad I don't need Third Reich PC too - I found one on Amazon $115. Much more then I was willing to pay.

Realistically, maybe after I get the next Empires in Arms update officially released I may relook A3R. If anyone spots some bugs or issues then that would be something to consider.<br/>

RE: Advanced Third Reich Beta Mod

<t> Thanks. Advanced Third Reich was a favorite of mine - especially the diplomacy rules - and I was disappointed that Avalon Hill (I think it was still them) decided to convert Third Reich but not advanced Third Reich to PC. From what you said, I assume I need the Third Reich PC game to use your ...

Old post I know but, well, maybe ----- I know Third Reich was converted to a PC game but I have never seen nor heard of this with the much better Advanced Third Reich. What exactly was modded?

I Need the Name of a Game

<t> I thought I got the game I'm thinking of from MATRIX but, it isn't listed. Very similar to the Tiller series in the American Civil War but newer and with a better AI. Battles played that I remember were: Wilson's Creek, Shiloh, Gettysburg, Antietam, some smaller battles like Wilson's Creek, the ...

RE: The Great War begins, Strategic Command: WWI is out

Thanks. I was worried that the east might had been marginalized. In the end, I'll probably try this game - I have a thing for WW-I games starting with the board games "1914" and "Guns of August". The guy was probably fired by now anyway.

RE: The Great War begins, Strategic Command: WWI is out

<t> Game looks interesting. Is there a map that shows all areas covered (I've never played the WW-II game and it sounds like the east may be a small area)?<br/>

If I want to stay up to three in the morning to start the download, yes. One game download and my bandwidth for the month is used up and I end up slowed down. One negative of living in a remote area.

RE: Is Game an Orphan?

No; my schedule is too crazy and I never know when I'll be able to play or not and for how long. Humans are alwaqys better opponents then an AI, though.

RE: Game Keys and New PCs

Thanks both. Makes one wonder what the point of even having the keys is, though. Now I just have to get an external DVD drive - apparently newer PCs don't have them (and I thought all did so didn't notice).

The version on my game reads 1.0 - I'm thinking it should be 1.2 but I assume the latest patch is applied for a newly bought game. Do I need to download the patch?

RE: Sale on Brother vs Brother

<t> I've been playing war games since the early 70s. The first PC ones were not so good even for then - they tended to be board games that were put into a PC format. I've branched into other things as well - got frustrated after trying some AGEOD games (they have great titles but are near impossible ...

RE: American Civil War Month! Brother against Brother 50% off until August 23rd!

<t> Thanks. Couldn't find it there but --- (if I had only done this first!) --- there was a tab after opening the game for it. Pouring through it - I may have finally found the operational level game that I've been waiting for (so many of the newer ones are tactical level and real time). <br/>
