This is the annual chance of starting a plague when nearby a colony. So when a Rift Strider is at a colony location for a month then it will usually start a plague at the colony unless there are other mitigating factors (12/1 chance per year).

Hi, I have a few small questions, if anyone from the dev team is able to answer them:

1. Is ShipHulls_PlanetDestroyer.xml not used anymore by the game? Is the ShipHulls_PlanetDestroyers.xml taking its place instead?

Correct, ShipHulls_PlanetDestroyer.xml actually became ShipHulls_Berserk AI.xml ...

Once a colony/outpost has been conquered/taken over by another race all freighters en route to pick up cargo should have order cancelled, ship to stop and circle for new order except the corresponding trade agreements are in place between the new owner of the planet and the race the freighter ...

Yes, here it is.

I made two small Testprojects.
The one I upload here is just started from scratch.
Mono.7z

If you load under Dir Mono.Windows the file "Mono.Windows.sdpkg"
it works.
If you load the one (that you have rename first) "Mono.Windows-Bundlename.sdpkg", it is not working.

If there's enough interest we could add a mechanism to load any desired bundles, perhaps specifying them in a text file or similar.

Then you could reference any new asset by path in the XML data files. Or just use this bundle-loading to override the default game assets (e.g. sound effects) with the ...

This is a heads-up explaining a new feature coming in the next version of DW2 that will provide better support for languages with non-Latin alphabets.

Unfortunately the window for releasing public beta updates has closed for this year, so this update won't be available until January ...

Your savegames show that you have edited your home system. But the way you have added planets has caused problems.

As Max pointed out, one of your savegames shows overlapping planets, which prevents your ships from moving freely.

I restarted the game and the number of idle freighters went from 250 to around 10.

If you don't see crashdump files in the data/Logs folder then you can also check your Windows Application event log for entries: Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer > Windows Logs > Application.

Check for any error entries around the time of the crash. There will often be 2 entries ...

Thanks for those extra crashdumps.

I'm wondering whether you have mismatched file versions in your installation.

If you installed from Steam can you please try verifying your files.

If you used the Matrix or Gog installer, please try reinstalling to a fresh folder.

Also try without any mods.

Thanks for that savegame. Unfortunately I haven't been able to repeat the crash.

Does that savegame always consistently crash for you? Is there some specific action that causes it to crash?

I think you have a messed up installation. Possibly with multiple copies of GameEvents*.xml files.

I suggest completely reinstalling the game. Might be a good idea to install into a new folder.

You'll want the 1.1.6.5 update, which is the latest official update.

Later this week there will also be a 1.1.6.7 update, which will supersede 1.1.6.5.
