RE: Automation

Thanks for the advice. Putting to use now.
One last point. Do I just tick automate and let it choose a system or kick start it by sending it off to a system I select and then let it choose other systems as necessary?

RE: Automation

Thanks. I assume it just automates that particular transport. Does it also have the intelligence to choose different worlds to move population around from?

RE: Colonisation

<t> Re the comment;<br/>
Crash research (pay cash) most level 2-3 colonisation techs.<br/>
How do you actually do that. Research items are random arent they? I understand that the colonisation technology is in the High Tech area so do you keep crash researching those areas until the scientists hit ...

RE: Gas clouds

I didnt check the components. It happened again when I went back to an autosave and tried again. Very odd though as they didnt move at all let alone fire. I have moved on to a new game now.

Automation

<t> Was quite advanced in a game, some 270 turns and getting fed up manually pushing the transports around sending population to different planets. I saw in one of the tool tips at the log on that you can automate all transports to manage population and distribute them across the necccesary planets ...

Gas clouds

<t> I have been playing a while and thought I was doing quite well for a newbie. Started as a human, republic government and off I went. Reached 8 systems and 13 colonies (two of those were other humans who I colonized without a problem and one a group of wekkarus I found in an abandoned colony ship ...

RE: Colonisation

Not an issue with money, I have over 200,000 as a balance and a steady income of some 50,000. Thanks for the tips though, I will give them a go.

Colonisation

<t> Another newbie question. <br/>
Have started off a few games now, each one getting more of a feel for the game. But in each game I seem to hit a wall in terms of adding new colonies, whilst other empires seem to get bigger and bigger without any problem. I understand you need technology to ...

Multiple buildings

<t> I am aware you build multiple research centres which can increase the amount of research , that can be adjusted by the sliders. But does buying multiple other buildings have an increasing effect i.e. if the population is about to revolt etc can you buy additional entertainment centers or ...

<t> Have just finsihed my 3rd full game and actually won in June 1865 (Turn 48). Feeling quite chuffed although it was 'easy' level, against the AI and without fog of war.<br/>

RE: Fatal error message

Sorry, it was Gary Griggs War Between the United Staes.

And I made a slight mistake on the message, it was
Fatalerror:cant load gui/newattackselect_batt2.tga.

Have actually relaoaded the game and it seems to have sorted although no idea what it meant.

Fatal error:cant load gui/nextattackselect_butt2.tga

Any ideas on the problem?

RE: Winning the election

<t> Thanks. I can see that but there has to be a balance somewhere in maintaining the assault, taking territory and defeating the southern armies. It strikes me that you get initiative as the Union so rarely in opportunistic conditions that you cant pass up the chance to attack. Up to Vicksgurg my ...
