RE: Walking the Fine Line Between Bravery and Stupidity (Japan only)

<t> I have never converted AK to AP but some AK have the ability to convert the cargo space to troop space and become an AKt ??? Not sure of the exact designation but I stumbled upon this ability in a larger port. Have not read the manual on this which might prove very useful but I have converted ...

RE: Walking the Fine Line Between Bravery and Stupidity (Japan only)

<t> Wow Tim, Wow! Stumbled upon this early today. Always thought you could be really good at playing Japan with your level of knowledge and dedication to detail/planning. Do not know about 3 day turns though. I think AE is a lot easier than old WITP to play Japan. Even I have not been able to crash ...

RE: skip bombing

<t> JFB question, Has anyone tried using this tactic with IJN/IJA bombers? To me it would be kinda gamey in a PBEM since as far as I know only Allies actually used this tactic (most Japanese pilots flying that low and close to a target would just Kami it!!!). Just wondering if I could use it to whup ...

RE: THE THREAD!!!

Kids night tonight! Wonder if the Mom's and Dad's would freak if some of the candy bars had the name of my favorite Japanese vessels on them?

Halloo to Tim.

RE: Japanese flak weapons

<t> Re checked my sources, no flak gap mentioned at all. After looking at the data available LeMay deduced there was littler low altitude flak over Japan and sent the stripped down B-29's in at 5 to 7 K at night vice previously used daylight 30K. He also rated the threat of night fighters as ...

RE: Japanese flak weapons

Gen Curtis LeMay figured this out at one point and sent his bombers in at a lower level against the most vehement complaints of their pilots. Results proved excellent!

Not sure if the game was made to reflect this but I do remember the US exploited a flak gap IRL.
