sounds interesting, I am learning too.
what would you play? axis or allies?
I have only tried axis games to date, however i would be interested in playing SU.
But i would like to practice one time against the AI before launching into it..

Apology for the lack of info there, I forgot this was a general forum.

I am talking about 'Commander Europe at War', which I enjoyed but sadly cannot now continue to play.

However having now installed 1.04 patch things seem fine

as Axis, I am now guessing that I need to buy labs before doing any other research?

I am not sure what is happening wrong, but playing as Axis, but about 1940, I dont seem to be developing any research into areas.
I have allocated some focus points into various disciplines, but the progress bars seem to remain at 0%.
Any suggestions appreciated.
