No, it wasn't that. I'd send a fleet from port to an enemy sub but no attack option came up. I thought perhaps subs were hidden underwater if they didn't attack the previous turn, but it didn't work for my own subs. Maybe it's not a problem in this new version, I'll soon find out

I've just downloaded this game so I don't have the manual (I assume I can read it online somewhere)? Anyway, where's the combat animations gone from the first game? I found them really useful but now I just get the after-battle report.

Sorry, noob question I know, but how come my light fleets can't attack enemy subs? I move them onto the same location as the sub, but all the attack options are greyed out.
