RE: SL Mot unit

<t> It is extremely odd that Slovakia has no armament points or arm production capability? That is probably why it is not equipping - the TOE doesn't call for but a few tanks at this point in 42 as I recall and with no arm points, no chance it will outfit any squads or guns. I suppose the only ...

RE: Attack loses screwed up? Close enough

<t> Hi Marquo - I would be curious if in your counterattacks you are looking at the actual loss screen before and after the attack for comparison.<br/>
<br/>
Can you run the attack and provide say:<br/>
<br/>
Axis KIA, MIA, DIS prior to the attack and after the attack and the same for the Soviet ...

RE: Axis Minor allies strategies and more...

<t> Here are some tips regarding "AMAs". They can actually be very useful on the defensive or on flanks of a German drive. However, they have to be "stiffened" with German troops.<br/>
<br/>
I generally try to create corps with 4-5 divisions in them of AMA's. These corps will deploy 1 unit per hex ...

Ah, excellent. I did not know this and it seemed like fighters were intercepting but they must have been from the other airbase.

RE: Finnish recon

Correct - I am actually only targeting hexes just north of Lake Ladoga (it is late 44 and the defensive line starts at the northern tip of the Lake and is 30 miles long in this sector).

Also, how did you determine the actual CV values?

RE: Ground Element Types

Light armored car with CV = 0 could be a small issue; I thought some starting German armored cars were Sdkfz-221s which shows as light armored car?

<t> I seem to be completely unable to fly recon as Finland.<br/>

I was really excited to get the new Myrsky II recon unit in August 44, assigned it to a Finnish airbase but I am still unable to fly any recon.<br/>

<r> Feel free to move this to scenario design & modding at some point; but a few items I discovered when poking around the editor. See the table below - highlighted blue cells are data entry errors; highlighted yellow cells are questionable numbers.<br/>

RE: late war withdrawals - vehicles

Hi Joel - Of the GCs it appears it is only the 43 scenario. All the others I spot checked seem to be OK (41, 42, 44)

RE: late war withdrawals - vehicles

And finally, I note that if I pull up the 41 GC scenario, the same units are all supplied; so this is just a scenario data problem (at least in 43) - the reinforcements were not set to resupply.

<r> And here is the shot from the editor; I have pulled up almost all of the units arriving as reinforcements in the 43 scenario and they all seem to be unsupplied, 'de-vehicled'.<br/>

RE: late war withdrawals - vehicles

I also have all my vehicle pool, in unit, production, etc numbers for the game saved in excel. I can clearly see that the vehicle totals did not increase by the arrival of this or many other divisions in 1944; however, it did decline when various vehicle heavy units left.

<r> And here is the division detail - note the vehicle numbers match; also note the supply received minus consumed minus what's left in the unit equal out to 0 (meaning it started with no supply). Same for ammo and fuel.<br/>

RE: late war withdrawals - vehicles

<r> Hi Joel & Helpless - <br/>
<br/>
I will post screenshots to show the issue. It is clear that units (at least perhaps in late war scenarios) are arriving without supply, ammo, fuel, and vehicles.<br/>

late war withdrawals - vehicles

<t> It appears that when Axis units arrive, they mostly arrive without any vehicles (or much supply). This requires, especially for motorized units, that units come from the pools to outfit the unit. This is fine.<br/>
<br/>
However, when the unit withdraws, it takes it vehicles with it. I noticed ...

RE: Possible Lvov pocket fix?

<t> No doubt, but, it's hard to deal with the surprise turn effects in the traditional sense of the game model. This is a first turn anomaly - greatly affected by the fact that the whole WitE model is a IGO-UGO play style centered on 1 week turns; hard to capture the responsiveness that ordinary ...

RE: Possible Lvov pocket fix?

Why not simply reduce the 1st panzer army mobile unit MPs to say 30? This would be the simplest fix.
