RE: CleverDevils2 AAR

<t> The lesson I learned right after I felt the sting was that it is unwise attack the large French stack. For one, it reallly just makes it less costly for France to prosecute a war if he doesn't have to go after you, and second, you open yourself up to getting to fighting three battles wihtout ...

RE: CleverDevils2 AAR

<t> I recollect a discussion a few months ago about the merits of continuing the game with Prussia and Austria defeated separately, leaving Russia essentially alone against France. I recall the decision was to wait and see how the first big Russia/France battle went to see if a miracle would happen ...

RE: Marshall -- bug 358

RE: Automatic battles?

<t> I notice chit selection for corps can be done in the reinforcement phase, for when your opponent moves before you, and then again in your own land phase for those opponents who move after you. You just need to think of the possibilities and pick a chit so the program doesn't have to do it for ...

<t> Playing Austria, i consider myself an experienced player albeit a bit rusty; been 10 years since I've played. I'll concede the last battle was imprudent however the outcome isn't disasterous. Austria ends the war with its guard and cav intact, +$100 in its treasury, and loss of just one province ...

<r> The Russian catastrophe in Turkey compelled Austria to strike at Napoleon in hopes of regaining the momentum. The Guards save Napoleon yet again, as they did at Leopaldstadt a few months ago.<br/>

RE: CleverDevils2 AAR

<t> Austria shall not shirk from the responsibilities hoisted upon it by France's unjust declaration of war. The Empire has been preparing for this all last year by manipulating the economy to squeeze the maximum manpower and tax revenue out of the home provinces. Austria is fully mobilized to ...

Mean Time Between Failure

"Out of Sequence" errors seem excessive to me. I don't think any of my three games has gotton through a monthly turn without at least one occurence. Curious how often others' PBEM games fare.

RE: CleverDevils2 AAR

Being the Austrian, confronted with a Prussian scheme hatched without my input, ignored by Great Britain - more so, rebuffed by GB when requesting an alliance in Jan - what is there to do but conserve energy for the next few months?
