Ok.  I understand now.  I had to capture a commander and interrogate it.  Now I can research more technologies.

<t> I can see plasma rifles, grenades, etc. but I can't research them. They are grayed out. In fact, I've run out of things to research. There's nothing else I can research. Is this normal? Do I have to wait until some time limit elapses for more items show up in the research area?<br/>
