I had the same problem with 3 French corps sitting in Brussels for over a year. No HQ so they couldn't do much, but they didn't lose readiness and I couldn't defest them without stripping the whole western front. This aspect of the game doesn't work somehow.

I guess that just means an HQ which has staff assigned to it, for providing a combat bonus to other units, in contrast to rear echelon HQs which are used purely for supply distribution.

AI+/++ means +100/200% producion for the AI player. IMO it's not a lot of fun against the AI, but it's a great PBEM scenario. Other scenarios are much better suited to solo play. Oh, depending how much horsepower your PC has, the AI moves can take literally hours after a few turns.

I'm playing West in a more or less recent version (v32?) and the Germans didn't use the Blitz card, but then declared Vichy. I didn't receive the Allied Minors in my next turn.

I still think the naval modelling is a bit broken here. Fleets can operate for a year without resupplying, and with no air/naval interception possible, airbases are pretty useless unless someone parks his fleet directly adjacent to your island.
