Small Operational Scenarios?

<t> Hey all. Just got AT yesterday and am enjoying the game so far. I've just messed around with a handful of scenarios, and looked at the Scenario Bank on the AT.org Web site, and I wanted to ask if there are some more operational level scenarios out there that I'm missing? I generally enjoy the op...

RE: Generals and Quick Combat

<t> Joe, I'd urge you to give detailed battles a try and see if they grab you.&nbsp; Yeah, they take a while, but using the fast slide and Set Center options while deploying can save a lot of time.&nbsp; For me the strategic part is enjoyable and demanding, but the detailed battles allow me ...

AI Constants questions

<t> Hi all. I've been actively modding the game since I got it, and I think giving us players the ability to mod through text files is one of the best decisions the designers made. I have logged dozens of tweaks to unit and building costs, terrain def and move values, gun power and range, weapon ava...

RE: USA Bio Israel B. Richardson

<t> Hey Gents -<br/> Just going through these old generals bios, I came across this one where you two were pondering how&nbsp;Israel Richardson might have gotten his alternate nickname, "Greasy Dick".&nbsp; In his chapter on First Manassas in "Fields of Honor", Edwin Bearss&nbsp;states t...

RE: New Brent Nosworthy book out!

<t> Thanks very much for letting us know, Gil.&nbsp; I was just in the bookstore yesterday looking at The Bloody Crucible, which I would like to read at some point.&nbsp; (I ended up getting "In the Presence of Mine Enemies" about the war in the Shenandoah, which looks to be a good one.)&...

RE: Hex Size

Thanks very much for the response, eric. I figured there were already threads about this somewhere on the forum, but couldn't come up with any through the Search.

With the split brigade function, those sizes make more sense to me.

Hex Size

<t> Hey All - <br/> Quick question: Is there an exact size the hexes are supposed to represent in detailed battles? For instance, 300 yards to a side or 700 yards across the widest part or some similar measure? Having just been to Bull Run battlefield this past weekend and walking off some of the di...

Question re: changing Terrain defensive values

<t> Hey All - <br/> Just got FoF a few weeks ago and have been glued to it ever since. What an excellent game. Really a "best of both worlds" for people who like the strategic and the tactical. <br/> <br/> My question is in regards to modding the defensive values for various types of terrain. Just p...
