I'm really sorry, but be patient, Vic is very busy with the Shadow Empire DLC Republica (nearly ready), and we also have dozens of testers working on DC5 who need daily support and update. I'm doing my best, but I don't know all the specific features of the engine.

There are some units on map with a little orange triangle non available to player (waiting orders from HQ - Still moving in rear area - reorganizing - ........)
You can see the warning moving the pointer over the triangle :

You can deploy only in the yellow hexes !

If you want to restore the old symbols just delete the files in the "graphicAlt" folder.

This is a very easy and reversible graphic mod:
You only need to unzip the files in the "graphicAlt" folder.

Yes indeed I also moved the units of the 5th AD one hex away from the frontline.

99% busy with DC5alpha, happy to see some feedback for DC4ardennes to fine tuning the scenarios!

The 5th Armored Division remained in 12th Army Group reserve throughout the Ardennes Campaign, perhaps to recover from Hurtgen's losses but more likely was held in reserve for fear of an unexpected German surprise attack.
So I set the availability for december 24th but i don't ...

Happy you like DC4 Ardennes !
The Brumbar is more effective against troops/soft target and weak against armor/hard target.
The best use is supporting infantry attack.
But I must check the fuel/supply level and the short range atk-modifier for the next patch.

1) You can add any trooptypes to a KG, but if not KG, only the official specific trooptypes for that units types;

3) The officers values are linked with the AI and cards and are slightly different from older DC games. I started making the values for some of the best officers (Model , Guderian ...

I am working in the Ardennes Editor and make the scenario there, even if it is on the eastern front, but it involves creating a lot of new/changing existing trooptypes.


Remember that in Ardennes editor the scale is fixed to 1km/hex.
Have you tried the DC Community Project editor ? both DC4 ...
