RE: War in the West on Steam??

The best is to have both options, Steam or purchase from Matrix.

<t> The british had the comet tank too who saw some action at the end of WW2, with a 77mm gun. Maybe another reason the western allies did not focus that much on heavy tank was because they had air superiority and could bombard the german tanks.<br/> <br/> The U.S. had the bazooka and the airborne w...

<t> I personally think the game mechanics could be easily ported to WW1 era. The armies are the same size approximatively, you have some air power too.<br/> <br/> For Napoleonic era, it does not make sense to me. A particular battle was fought on a relatively small battlefield compared to 20th centu...

RE: Bombs vs Rockets against AFVs

The US P-47Ds used HVAR rockets which could penetrate 4ft. of reinforced concrete, used during the normandy campaign. That could blow any tank i think.

The RP-3 SAP i do not know about this one, seems british made. I am curious to see the answers.

RE: Questions About Playing vs the AI (how to best practice)

German AI is dumb in 1941 not enough agressive but able to do some encirclements if you are not enough careful.

I have found that German AI is good in 1942-43 to minimize it's losses while doing much damage to the soviets.

<t> About the comment that it did not now much in Moscow between 1996 and 2014. Weather may not be what it was back in 1940's. Global weather has changed, also there are fluctuations from one decade to the other. It would be better to have forecast from WW2. If i remember the winter of 1941-42 in ru...

RE: Tying together East and West?

Yes World in Flames but it's only at corps level though, with some divisions, but nowhere near WitE complexity.

The only board i know at this level would be Europa but it requires a full house to play it, too insane.

RE: Tying together East and West?

Of course with a more "global" game, the german could manage it's forces depending on own it is going in east and west, what he want so achieve, etc.

Maybe one day, right it can be done in some boardgames.
