Can I remove the Hex mapping from the game so it looks clean?

Hello Gentlemen I am trying to download v.1.01.24 (28 APR 2015) patch but the website is not giving me a link to update and says it is not found...
Can anyone point me too an outside source to get this patch?

Once I find aircraft mods how do I install them? I am not very techy just into these types of games. Will it allow me to see the dogfights in the game again as before?
