Turn time frame

Im sure it is mentioned somewhere but i cant find it.

What is the time frame? 1 turn=1 day, 1 week, 1 month?

I think the original game had it right.  Wasn't that adjustable between 3 to 5 days per turn?

Am i understanding it right, if i use minor axis or other units to dig in then other units can occupy those areas and get the bonus? Is there a limit to this?

Hi all, is this a complete re-write of the original or just a update of the old classic?

Not really fussed either way as this little gem was a fav of mune back in the 80's/90's along with western front. As long as it works with vista I'm a happy little warrior.
