Re: Never Thought I'd Start Another One - tc464 (A) vs. Mike (J)

Well, it turns out Ted did the turn and forgot to send it. We're getting old.

I want to make my "stuff" shipping more efficient and am starting with resources. I have 182 Aden class xAKs which I want to use to ply the waters with resources, at least at the smaller ports. In places, I have ...

I don't think he will land troops to retake Adak so quickly and knowing the KB was around, but I could be wrong. Thank would be interesting! :-)
I would, so I hope I'm wrong ... the only good news is that the units likely will NOT be prepped ....

Re: Japanese artillery sucks

There is this. After paying PP to upgrade each artillery LCU to the best commander available I got this:

Sadly, there is little evidence linking Commander traits to Arty LCU combat performance. I tried to test for this years ago, and land skill ... well let me just say that if there is a ...

As you can see, I try to be lean on my aircraft production.

Yes, but truthfully you only have had one aircraft really worth building, A6M, but you don't have that many groups for it. Now you have the N1K, but the same issue as with the A6M. And you have the Tojo, which first off is NOT an Oscar ...

Re: Rising Sun, Falling Skies: BTSL Bigred vs John 3rd

Wow. Allied sorties in one day over 35,000. wow.

Screenshot 2026-07-24 203111.jpg

That's a minimum of 35,000 supply in one day. For sorties alone. If IJ had a 4M supply cushion entering '45, if she had the 35,000 aircraft to sortie, she would use that 4M supply in just 120 days at MOST. And ...

5 Dec 42

I'm starting to get excited. I'm starting to get my mid-war fighters for both the IJA and IJN. The Tojo IIc starts producing 7 a day in a week. I'll be able to convert a sentai a week after that. The first one goes to Burma. Numbers 2 and 3 go to SE Fleet AO. Then, probably more to Burma ...

Admiral Harmasaki turns to his chief of staff... "Order a second Shock Attack at once! Tell LGen Hitomi to push! Push hard while they are disorganized! A night Banzai may just break them, and if Adak is ours, the North Pacific is ours!"

Yeah baby!! 74 destroyed, not all of them tanks of course, figure 50% AFV/50%MotSupp, still, that is several months of production. A couple more results like that and his US armor is trashed for some time.

Re: Never Thought I'd Start Another One - tc464 (A) vs. Mike (J)

On extended range you have little fuel to engage in combat. Drop tanks give you more to work with, but if you fly out too far on the DT, you will also end up with no fuel to do combat with.

Edit to add: Don't forget, the further out you go, the bigger the sky you have to cover. Sweeps are OK ...

Hmm. So, crossing a hex side you don't own will automatically trigger a shock attack regardless of how much AV you have in the hex. That makes sense. Guess I won't be advancing into Chungking from the SE at all. Yep, an infantry regiment/brigade will get that guard duty.

Thanks a lot for ...

Probably pretty high.

So then, not necessarily terrible results if the forts are 5 or higher. While not perfect, the ground model is still pretty good, and in particular, the bombardment algorithms are quite good. While, the actual casualties were low, the impact upon morale, disruption, and ...

Yes, the devices aboard a ship can be damaged separately and the repair cost is related to the load cost of the device. The other system damage related to the damaged devices might be a placeholder to show the number of devices needing repair?

Or related to damage to systems mounted on, or near ...
