Refit

<t> Could someone point me to the manual pages on refit? I can't seem to find them. From reading other threads I'm starting to think the unit and its HQ need to be on refit...is that right? If so, do I need to have special refit HQs sitting on depots; withdraw units to the same hex; reassign to the ...

RE: Amazed at the german invasion response

Did you recon anywhere else? Does the AI pay attention to invasion prep? If so, won't it have moved troops closer...but out of range of the preliminary raids? Still surprised it could move quickly through local interdiction. Mind you it has an incredibly good bug out capability.

British airfield names

Tuddenham and Bottisham airfields seem to have been transposed - Bottisham is definitely closer to Cambridge. Obviously not vital...except my nursery school was in one of the old Bottisham airbase buildings! Also, it was a USAF field for most of its life.

RE: replacements?

You, also, need to make sure you have a unit that can accept the replacements - I had dozens of tank destroyers sat in STAVKA waiting for a unit to accept them.

RE: Feedback

The lack of an undo button is surely to model the idea that the British allowed most of their trained staff officers to rejoin their regiments - poor staff work...units head east instead of west! There is the same issue in DC:CB - but it is still my (staff's) fault when I misclick!

The war will be over by Christmas...why research?

Oh, a Christmas card...ah...maybe we should do some research.

RE: Looking at DCCB

With the stack move issue you could argue that the game is representing command and control from army to corps to division - so anything else requires extra staff work (clicks).

The reason Ike postponed D-Day had nothing to do with the weather - he just wanted the Allies to turn up on the same day!

RE: Where is antitank infantry ?

<t> One of the scenarios in CM:BB had a mixed group of German tanks trying to take out a single KV1 in woods...it wasn't easy! Similarly an ASL scenario recreated an early encounter with a T-34...very hard if the tank didn't break down. And we are used to Panthers and Tigers smashing 75mm Shermans i...

Wikipedia describes it as a port city...so it must be true!

In the England you need a city charter - normally associated with a cathedral but Cambridge is a city and doesn't have a cathedral.
