Hard to say then. The cargo module is quite a shambles really.

I have also noticed that loading tanks onto a ship and giving it landing craft that will take tanks results in no tanks leaving the ship, LCAC's seem to work though for some reason.

You need E or W on the Longitude and they should be in ' not "

I don't think you need the 'DEG' either

I think that might be what's messing it up

Is the infantry unit added via the "Add Unit" in the scenario editor or is it an actual cargo unit?

Cargo missions only work with items added with the cargo interface, not facility ground units added in the Add Unit dialogue of the Scenario Editor

Yes I have experienced similar.
I agree that in that situation any aircraft should override any setting to engage in self defence.

It's quite an omission if the game logic doesn't do that as it's pretty basic aircraft behaviour

Check if it is assigned to a mission and also look inthe Doctrine settings, often those things can cause the Sub AI to countermand your orders

I second, or third a better cargo model.

Transferring resupply items fuel, ammunition etc to ships and land bases, repair/construction materials and units (COD brings out a new engine).
