RE: Request\Wish list

<r> I would like to support all the other posts asking for multi storey buildings to work like old CC. Also for troops to find good places to fire from. <br/>
Bunkers in Normandy need fixing. Inability to place troops and AT guns in them unless you place them in a spot that cannot fire makes no ...

RE: mg42 lethality

<t> Rounds per clip are not quite right in the weapons file for the light MG 42. Clip weight is supposed to be 6 pounds compared to 15 pounds for the heavy 42 machine gun. Heavy 42 has 250 rounds per clip so a setting of 100 for the light 42 would be more like what it should be. I have changed this ...

More realistic and playable settings for mortars

<t> After a bit of testing in play against the AI I think the following adjustments make mortars more sensible.<br/>
<br/>
Change the base accuracy for all four mortars (2 on both sides) in the weapons file to 350 on smoke and HE instead of the overly high setting of 417. 300 makes it overly ...

RE: The Good, the bad and the ugly

Noticed that too ... totally unlikely behaviour from infantry near tanks. If they wait a few metres more the tank just falls into the trap. As it actually happened.

RE: The Good, the bad and the ugly

<t> The pathing issues where a tank turns sideways or even rotates 360 degrees and more! are there in the new version/patch. It seems that there is an additional issues in that the tanks on the german side are liable to track and are attracted to hedges etc so that they are frequently lost and ...

RE: Arty barrage

<t> Let's not forget that we still have the problem with very narrow and shallow deployment zones. Widening the deployment zone and making it more irregular seems to make more sense. Not many commanders who survived to fight second and third battles concentrated an attack in a narrow zone, inviting ...

RE: Arty barrage

ORIGINAL: Cathartes

Wish List:
More complex arty support: rolling barrages, larger barrage target areas (more dispersed), use of multiple fire orders, random, errant shells outside of barrage area
All good ideas too.

In my opinion, it would be best to have heavy barrage available for:<br/>

1.Attacking BG, as soon as the battle starts ... but with a 2 minute countdown timer. Then the attacking player would need to decide where the heavy barrage ...

RE: The Battlegroup Screen

<t> I agree that this is something that is needed and missing. One other piece of information that is needed is the force composition of units on the strategic map. That is an important part of the decision making for movement and understanding what the unit is capable of achieving. Just seeing what ...

Agreed about the weapon names. It is a factor in unit selection and small things make a difference.

RE: My first impressions

<t> Really, it is giving the half tracks their real role in battle. Do everything needed to get things around the battlefield and provide a bit of protection to troops when moving to a hot spot ... and providing a bit of hit and run fire power.<br/>

... in other words ... if you want bad reviews about the game this might be the wrong place to ask :p

Sorry no time to post more ... there are mortars to fire and sneaking infantry to look out for.
