RE: My invasion TFs won't invade

Perhaps, there is a setting for threat tolerance. Set that to do not retreat. Might fix the issue.

Latest Beta?

Can anyone point me to where I can find the latest Beta Patch? I'm thinking of jumping back in with my new computer. Also looking for a JFB to start a PBEM game. Nevermind, I think I found my answer... disregard and carry on. Just can't delete the post.

RE: downgrade devices?

Yeah that is what I feared. I was hoping someone found a way to trick the game like disbanding units or something. Guess we will have to add that to the wishlist of Witp 2! :-)

downgrade devices?

Hey does anyone know of a way to downgrade devices on a LCU. I accidentally upgraded my Australian Armor units to the M3 Grant/Lee from the Matillda and now I have a bunch of Matilldas in the pool with no use for them, and not enough M3s. Am I stuck?

RE: Carrier Qualification of Pilots!

Yeah as others have said it's 90 days to get them qualified. If you're needing to train USMC Units there is always room for an extra squadron on the US fleet carriers in the early war. Later on you can use the USS Long Island as a trainer.

Ok. Cool yeah I was seeing if there were any statistical breakpoints. But your anecdotal evidence is certainly helpful, Thank You Hans! [:)]

Stacking limits

<t> Hey so I'm playing around with stacking limits and I was curious if anyone knew what the penalties for breaking the limit and the varying degrees to which thatlimit is broken. Is there any data available?<br/>

RE: May 26th, 1942 Update

<t> That inexplicable raid on PH sounds like an ill omen. My problems with the AI is that when I get to mid 1942 (after I have put up a stout defense in Malasia and the DEI) the AI seems to throw "Kamikaze" raids with valuable CV & SCTFs into heavily defended bases and what the AI should know are ...

I'm also curious are you using your any of you transports & tankers in the DEI to pull oil and fuel into Perth and Darwin? I always do that so as not to leave any for the IJN ...

Map Links in Reports?

<t> I was thinking that it would be really handy and might save us all from some of the clicks that are involved in this game if the individual lines in the SigInt, AARs, etc. would jump you to that map location when you click on the line in that report. Something similar to a hyperlink or whatever ...

Screen Resolutions in Virtual Machine

<t> Ok I'm trying to get Witp to run on my MacBook Pro in a Windows Virtual Machine (Oracle Virtual Box) so I can rid myself of Bootcamp. I have it set the VM to run in full screen (1680x1050) and the Shortcut has been modified to (..." -f px1680 -py1050) but the game screen still comes in the old ...

RE: AE Naval and OOB Issues

<t> Ummm, I have a couple of issues to mention first is an OOB question as to why the CVB USS Franklin D. Roosevelt isnt in the December 8th campaign. From my very limited investigation on Wikipedia it was comissioned in october of 1945 and had her shakedown in february of 46. I only mention it as ...

RE: fuel to Oz question

<t> I'm curious as it has yet to be mentioned, but I seem to have a great deal of success with combining my TKs with my long haul xAKs in large Sydney/Melbourne & Auckland bound convoys. This gives my TKs the legs to make it from the WC and gives them added protection from subs as there a lot more ...

AE and AKE Question

<t> I was curious about the Ammunition ships. I know AE's won't resupply underway until like '45 or whatever. But I was curious if one were to add them to invasion fleet with capital ships, would they allow the BB/CA's to support fire for more turns? Or do they need to be in a replenishment TF? It ...
