Picture #6, the landing in Southern France were in Aug. of 1944 and were not before D-day.

Towards the end of April 1945 the Third Army shifted to a more central part of Germany. Many units were transferd to the Seventh as many were shifted to the Third from the First Army. So it is possible that the Vet was correct when he was telling his story.

The Yorktown's "were" designed from the keel up as aircraft carries, this is a fact.......

How does the game handle hidden airfields like Ngoro airfield, Java? The Japanese didn't find it till they concored Java. I couldn't find anything in the manual about this.

Reading "The approach to the Philippines" by Robert Ross Smith. One of the "Big Green Books, The US Army in WWII, Office of the Chief of Military History, Department of the Army".[:)]
