New scenarios

It would be nice if all scenarios could be put together as a download. I am hopeless with fiddling about with my PC.

RE: Challenger and Chieftian question

<t> Challenger had a superb engine compared to Chieftain. Chieftain crews would hope to find a good fire position before developing engine problems. challenger could travel faster in reverse than the woefully underpowered Chieftain could going forward. God help WP armour on the receiving end of the ...

Cannot update base game

<t> Just bought this great game with the 1st 2 expansions. The main game installed OK, but I cannot download the 2 expansions. I get error messages at the end of the download. I have a new Windows 8 PC and wonder if that is the problem. I cannot download the latest update for Conflict of Heroes for ...

RE: Civil War 150th

It would be great to have a brand new hex-based Computer wargame of the battle of Gettysburg. The game would have Battalion sized units each equipped with realistic firearms, and uniforms. The map would be a work of art.

1941

<t> I started the 41-45 campaign, and I am now on week 2 of September. To start with I had a massive encirclement to the west of Minsk, but a surprising number of enemy units escaped. The same happened down south near Rovno. I have now decided to make the Dnepr my winter front line. 2nd Army, and ...

A good WITE read

The Road to Stalingrad, and The Road to Berlin by John "Sony" Erickson are great books. The level of detail is immense.

Great Stuff

<t> Many thanks to Mr. Grigsby for yet another splendid wargame. Many thanks to Mr. Rutkins and Matrix games for such a great place to be a wargamer.<br/>
Today I started the 43 campaign for real, and I have done what I have been itching to do for years. I have cancelled Zitadelle, and withdrawn 48 ...

RE: Where did my HQs go? Noob mistake #1

<t> I started by going to the 44-45 campaign, and watched as the Russians destroyed several units around Vitebsk and Mogilev. Meanwhile the Germans have some nice Panzer units in AG North Ukraine. I believe that historically Hitler forbade them to move, because he thought the Russians were to do a ...

Coronation Street is on ITV. It is the most hatefully dire shite TV ever. Full of whining social engineering commies.

RE: Next project?

It should be WITE Quartermaster's edition. The game would have daily turns in which you have to make an inventory of all consumable items on the Russian Front.

RE: How much

<t> When I buy this game I just hope my ageing PC keeps on running. I have bought a new motherboard, and GPU already this year. I would like to ask some Deity with a fluffy white beard to Bless wargamers computers. Especially with the coming mighty battles on the Eastern Front, and to protect said ...

Can't wait to play the 44-45 scenario as the Germans. I bought Distant Worlds to help take my mind off WITE. It really is very good.

RE: Anything New from Matrixgames before Christmas?

Sorry for being abrupt. There was some sarcasm in my message. I have been looking forward to GG WITE for ages, and it is a game I will be prepared to pay whatever the affordable price is. If it is as good as my favourite Matrix game War between the states, then it will be money well spent.
