RE: Eric's Guadalcanal Diary

<t> I'm now at Turn 180 and the end of my Guadalcanal Diary. The Allies have gained a decisive victory over the Japanese.<br/>
<br/>
My key naval losses were the Saratoga, Enterprise, Wasp and one CVE, two CAs and one CL (many CAs and CLs have been damanged). No BBs went down, but a number of them ...

RogueUSMC,

Thanks for the reply. Already aboard, just moved WItP to a different computer. Currently doing the Guadalcanal campaign (at a very slow pace, have been too busy to get back until recently).

RE: Fatal Error 999

RogueUSMC,

Thanks. I reloaded v 1.50, v 1.84 and v 1.86 in order as suggested and it worked like a charm (the most trouble I had was finding my serial no. which I finally was able to do).

<t> CDNice,<br/>

Welcome aboard the Good Ship WitP! Where fun, adventure (and addiction) lurk at every turn. And most importantly, the folks here are glad to help newcomers out. This game has more interesting nuances than you can imagine (and I've only done 114 turns or so in the Guadalcanal ...

Or what about the scene where the boss (General Pritchard played by Mitchell Millard) for General Savage chews him out (for not turning back)&nbsp;so that&nbsp;the 918th is the only bomber group to make it to and hit the target?

So you know about Pykrete, eh?&nbsp; Pyke (a true brillant but eccentric individual) was also the force behind the Weasel, as well as what became the "Devil's Brigade."

Apollo 11,
&nbsp;
You're right about Jimmy Stewart as a B-17 pilot (and didn't want any publicity about it or to be treated differently from any other bomber pilot, including being assigned to tough missions).

RE: Sub Runs Back to Home Base for No Apparent Reason

Misconduct,
&nbsp;
You get a "gold star".&nbsp; I finally checked the sub (actually the Greenling) and it was out of torpedoes (may not have even been loaded when it first arrived).&nbsp; Now heading back to Nomea to reload.
