RE: Now, does this look like vaporware to you?

<t> The screenshots are really very impressive. I love how the fences around the fields and along rads are clearly visible. <br/> This sort of "small" terrain features is exactly what a good XVII-XIX century warfare oriented tactical game should include. I am really looking orward to seeng where thi...

French and British units modding?

<t> I wanted to ask this one for some time... What file contains the data for the British and French units? <br/> <br/> This was one of the few gripes I had with the game - the foreign intervention was pretty underdevelopped. Units came without leaders and weapons. Moreover there were no special uni...

RE: Quick combat setup and blockade orders

<t> Yeah, same observations here - ships are blockading, wether or not theit icon is next to the actual port.<br/> The icons of armies and fleets can sometimes get "misaligned" within a region. You can see the same thing when you move divisions into corps in the saem region, after doing this and can...

RE: A lady's war on the confederacy

Seems the forum rules changed and I can't upload images or links for some time.

Wierd, I remember vividly putting up links for my Carriers at War mods. Guess this will have to wait a week.

A lady's war on the confederacy

<t> July 1861. The balloon’s gone up. We are at war.<br/> <br/> If any of the bleeding heart politicians in Washington still thought this could all get resolved in a civil and diplomatic manner, he's been proven decisively wrong.<br/> <br/> Our forces are spread out all over the country, the chain o...

Same story really. Forge of Freedom is a very cool game.

BTW, can you tell us any differences in battle mechanics between this and forge? (other than the obvious - historical maps and regimental scale)?

New nation?

<t> Hey guys, I was wondering if it is possible to mod a new nation "appearing". I know that Vichy works this way, but after looking through the data files I was unable to recognize how this is done.<br/> <br/> My idea is to have the Kiev region star out as Soviet, but each turn Germany occupies it ...

RE: Taiyo class escort carriers

<t> Yes, in fact I do believe that all Matrix games Carriers at War 2007 editions come with the scenario editor (it also works with srf.files). Srf files are just a composite of graphic and sound files really.<br/> <br/> I'm (slowly) working on a scenario that will feature this ship - for a casual g...

RE: "peak" terrain marker?

OK, that is actually not bad news. I'm working on a small scale (1 hex = 500m) Berlin 1945 scenario and now I'm thinking of using "peak on fortification" to simulate Berlin's flak towers.

"peak" terrain marker?

<t> Just a quick question - is using the "peak" marker has any impact on the defence or movement rate of the units, or is it just eye candy?<br/> <br/> I'm making a scenario that could use an icon to signify certain event-related areas in a scenario I'm designing, but I wanted to make sure it won't ...
